Know More about this tour

Leave your centrally located Jerusalem hotel in an air-conditioned coach and visit the Mount of Olives. Enjoy the epic views from here over Old Jerusalem and the Temple of the Mount, where Solomons Temple, destroyed in 586 BC, and the Second Temple, razed to the ground by the Romans in 70 AD, once stood.
Drive along the Kidron Valley past the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations and the ancient Jewish cemetery. Then, leave your coach and walk through the Zion Gate, one of the eight gates into Old Jerusalem. Pass through the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter, and see the Byzantine Cardo, the city's ancient main street believed to date from the 6th century AD.
Continue to the Western Wall, known as the Wailing Wall, where Jews have prayed since the destruction of the Second Temple. The wall is around 2,000 years old and its cracks are stuffed with prayer papers left by the thousands of pilgrims that come here.
Cross into the Christian quarter and follow Jesus footsteps along the Via Dolorosa (no. 5-14), the path he is believed to have taken to his crucifixion. See the Stations of the Cross and marvel at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the stunning church said to stand on his crucifixion site.
Leave the Old City through the Jewish Marketplace and Jaffa Gate, and end your tour at the Holocaust Museum in New Jerusalem. Here, view the haunting displays that chart the suffering and stories of the Jewish peoples during WWII.
Return to your coach and finish your tour with a drop-off back at your hotel.
Please note: Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish holidays the Holocaust museum is closed, this will be replaced with a visit to Mount Zion and Gethsemane church

  • I would do this again. This was an informative and educational tour of Old Jerusalem. We walked the whole morning till around 2PM in Jerusalem. We went up close to the Western Wall and I did the touristy thing and wrote my petition and included that among the many pieces of paper stuck between the cracks in the wall. The highlight of this tour for me was the Church of the Holy Sepulche. There wasnt a lot of people so we were able to touch and pray beside the stones marking the site of Jesus crucifiction, the stone that held the body of Jesus when he was taken down for burrial and the burial site.

  • Our tour guide kept us moving with her informed tour. We went to lunch at a restaurant that had a roof top area for dining which was an added bonus. Although we were taken to one shop, we did not have any time to purchase anything from the many vendors but we did get to see all of the places promised. Luckily we had time another day to return and leisurely visit the Old City. We felt comfortable as our guide had given us a solid sense of the area. Overall, a great tour.

  • We had Dan Porges as our guide and he was very informative, knowledgeable, and clearly demonstrates a great respect for Christian tradition. There was a snafu at the start of the tour because we were not picked up at the hotel despite my having called the tour company earlier in the day to inform them that we were waiting at the hotel lobby. The tour company Bein Harim paid for our taxicab ride to a place called Cafe Aroma so we could meet up with our group. It eventually worked out, we didn't miss any part of the tour,

The tour starts at Mount Scopus, I wanted to go into the Garden of Getnsemane but this was only pointed out from a distance. We did not go into the Church of the Agony or the Dormition Abbey. We did have a good look at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and had some time to pray but there was a very long line at the tomb. The guide' advice was to come back on our own either late in the day or early in the morning, which we plan to do. Despite this the church is truly very moving and Interesting. We saw a few other stations on the Via Dolorosa, and spent some time on the Western Wall. You are brought through the winding streets of the four quarters. Lunch was 12 for a chicken shawarma, or a falafel, with a soda. After lunch we went to Yad Veshem which is an experience not to be missed,

  • Great tour but not enough time in Church of Holy Seplacure to go inside Jesus Tomb or at the Cross. These have longer lines and not accounted for during tour. My suggestion for tour company, less time in Gift shop and restaurant and more time in Church of Holy Seplicure.

  • Was meant to be in English, but had another language as well, slowing things down considerably.
    Timings not very punctual.
Guide knew his stuff and I learned a lot, but could've been better....

  • The tour was fine, however the guide fleeced us. Taking unassuming tourists to a place selling over priced food , and stuff. It’s really not done and literally left a bad taste. So anyone else planning to do this trip a word of advice carry your own food or pick what you want

  • Everything was great, extremely punctual.
The only negative thing is, that they dont give you free time to do souvenir-shopping. They show you only one overpriced store most likely because of commission.

  • The tour is very interesting and our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. But working with Viator is a nightmare. They're extraordinarily disorganized, e.g. regularly missing morning pick-ups. We booked five trips with Viator and each time we had a huge problem. They'd forget to pick us up, then send a frantic taxi to get us, as we went careening through the streets in the cab while other the other tourists already on the bus waited for us to arrive. Another day they told us the wrong start time so we missed the tour entirely!

  • Great tour, the New Jerusalem is a trip to the Yad Vashem museum, which is excellent. The tour of the Old Jerusalem was equally as nice, plenty to see and learn about it.
