Start your 3.5-hour morning tour with pickup from your hotel in Bangkok and set off with your guide on a walking tour of royal and religious monuments. Your first stop isWat Ratchanatdaram, a Buddhist temple popular for its multi-tiered brazen palace, or Loha Prasat, one of just several bronze-roofed palaces in existence.

A short walk brings you to the Golden mount, which is located in the compound of Wat saket. Built by King Rama IV, this golden chediis reached by a 344-step spiral stairway. While on top, you'll have a wide view of the older part of Bangkok.

Next up is Baan Bat, the last of a series of villages established in the 18th century by King Rama I to create alms bowls formonks. After a look around, your guide accompanies you tothe Giant Swing (Sao ching cha) that stands outside of Wat suthat, among Thailand's most significantroyal temples.

Takea break for morning tea, coffee, or a soft drink, thenvisit the Tiger God Shrine (Chao phor seua), which isdedicated to the spirit of a tiger thatonce inhabitedthe surrounding jungle.     This tour visited three temples within walking distance of each other. The guide seemed knowledgeable although his English was repetitive. We were left alone to walk through some of the venues, where some additional commentary would have been useful. The sites were impressive and well worth visiting. There was not very much walking between the sites.
