Know More about this tour

Leave your centrally located Tel Aviv hotel in an air-conditioned coach for the approximate 90-minute journey to Jerusalem, Israel's ancient capital and a spiritual center for Christians, Jews and Muslims.
On arrival, visit the Mount of Olives for panoramic views over Old Jerusalem. Then, drive along the Kidron Valley to see the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations and the ancient Jewish cemetery. Watch too for the Dormition Abbey, said to mark where the Virgin Mary died.
Next, visit the Last Supper Room on Mount Zion, traditionally considered by Christians to stand where Jesus held his last supper. Afterward, head down to the lower story to view the velvet-draped Tomb of King David, where Jews pray in homage to Israels famous king.
At the Old City, enter on foot through the Zion Gate, and pass the Armenian Church of St James en route to the Byzantine Cardo, the citys main street during Roman times. Then, cross into the Jewish Quarter to see the Western Wall aka the Wailing Wall a holy site where Jewish pilgrims press prayer notes between the stones.
Continue to the Christian Quarter to walk the fabled crucifixion route, the Via Dolorosa (no. 5-14). See the Stations of the Cross and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to mark the place of Jesus crucifixion. Inside, admire the awe-inspiring dome and see the Stone of Anointment, where his body is said to have laid before burial.
End your tour at the Old Citys marketplace to snap up souvenirs of your day. Then, enjoy a drive back to Tel Aviv and a convenient drop-off at your hotel.

  • MUST SEE! Great guide, good lunch, very valuable and insightful.

  • A long day, but very informative. Amir the tour guide was brilliant, lots maybe too much !! information and history. I would highly recommend the tour

  • I did the Jerusalem day trip. The organization was very good. The website was accurate and received prompt answers to my questions.

  • The guide was excellent. The bus was comfortable and clean. The logistics were efficient. My small complaint was that I was less than thrilled with the lunch at the designated lunch spot. I wish we would have agreed upon a time for lunch, and been allowed to choose staying at the designated restaurant, or eating on our own. While I also recognize the efficiency of trying to keep the group together, I would have much more enjoyed ability to explore the food choices available on my own.

  • Very well organized and well thought out tour. Our guide was Itamar, not only extremely knowledgeable and helpful but also really nice and funny. It was our great pleasure to participate and we are really happy to recommend this tour!

  • Very nice tour! Very well organized. Excellent guide. No complains.

  • We had changed this tour for Footsteps of Jesus - which was a 5.0 star rating. Tour guide Gill was exceptional and outstanding and managed very well the time, the tour, and the diverse group which at times, attempted to infuse issues of a political or social nature into the discussions along the tour. .

  • I booked a day trip tour from Tel aviv to Jersualem, and our guide Yuval was simply awesome - knowledgeable and detailed in explanations of key attractions in aspects of history, context and relevance to old and new testament etc. Might I add we were there on the 'Day of Rage', yet at no point of time felt unsafe. Just remember to stick to your guide and make sure you obey tour group etiquette by regrouping at designated point on time. Highly recommended! - gerard from singapore.

  • The tour had too much wasted time. Tour guide was very good, but he did the tour in both English and Spanish - Listening to the Spanish translation wasted at least an additional hour over the full day tour. Also, although the tour title says from Tel Aviv, we wasted more time picking up people in Jerusalem and dropping them off at their hotel at the end of the day, prior to return to Tel Aviv. The tour operators need to inform their clients of the additional time involved due to the dual language tour as well as dropping off people in Jerusalem.

  • This was my 4th visit to Jerusalem. Each time it just keeps getting better! Our guide was AWESOME and provided us with more than just basic information. Jerusalem is a city full of spiritual experiences, if you want them....the media does not project accurate info on the state of being there...felt perfectly safe! If you need a rebirth or revitalization, take a trip to the HOLY CITY.....
