Know More about this tour

Leave your centrally located Jerusalem hotel in an air-conditioned coach and head for the Mount of Olives. Here, witness the panoramic views over the 3,000-year-old Old City before driving along the Kidron Valley to see the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations and the ancient Jewish cemetery. Watch too for the Dormition Abbey, believed to mark where the Virgin Mary ascended to heaven.
Next, visit the Last Supper Room, on the upper story of a building on Mount Zion, and held by Christians to stand on the site of Jesus Last Supper. Then, visit the ground floor to view the Tomb of King David, where a velvet-draped cenotaph honors Israels famous king.
Continue into the Old City through the Zion Gate, and walk to the Byzantine Cardo, the main street during Roman times, now restored and partially occupied by modern shops. As you walk, pass the Armenian Church of St James and afterwards, head for the Jewish Quarter. Here, view the Western Wall, known as the Wailing Wall, site of the ancient temple where Jewish pilgrims press prayer notes between the stones.
Enter the Christian Quarter and follow the Via Dolorosa (no. 5-14), the Way of the Cross. See the Stations of the Cross and look inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, said to mark the place of Jesus crucifixion. Gaze at the spectacular dome and Stone of Anointment, where Jesus body is said to have laid before burial.
To finish, enjoy some time to browse and buy souvenirs at the Old Citys colorful marketplace. Your tour then ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

  • Really get your monies worth on this trip!

  • I was not impressed with this tour. The guide was not very friendly and provided only shallow explanations. The Muslim part of Jerusalem was completely blanked out although the tour was supposed to cover three religions.

  • Very good experience with our guide and he was flexible to allow a few extra minutes at several sites. There is so much packed in one day but overall, it was great! I wish they could provide more explanation on how the via dolorosa was determined as there are other accounts of a different path and different Crucifixion sit. It helps to put things in perspective!

  • It was not the tour that we paid for so we were not satisfied at all. We ended up leaving early because it was a repeat of a tour we didn and #39;t done the day before with a different company

  • excellent!

  • great tour guide

  • My family booked several tours through VIATOR for our trip to Israel -- and unequivocally -- this was our favorite. On its own, Jerusalem is an awe-inspiring and magical place, yet our experience would not have been the same without our ace tour guide Ron a.k.a. Lev. Often, tours such as this can be a bit, well, touristy and cookie cutter. Yet Ron really enhanced the experience, providing more than a scripted spiel, but extremely engaging anecdotes, off the cuff humor, and candid Q and A. In terms of value time, money, quality, this tour is well worth it, and we hope to take it again.

  • The tour is only a few hours, but you get a good preview of the holy sites, particularly the Chrisian ones as you walk backward down the allies where Jesus walked with the cross starting with the crucifixion spot.

  • very good indeed...guide was informative and intelligent..very good on comparative religion. got to see a lot which we would otherwise have missed.Just the right length too.

  • The tour was ok, but it didn't include Temple Mount which is one of the highlights of the Old City. Temple Mount was actually mentioned in the description of the tour, but we weren't taken there. The tour guide was also ok about providing information, but there were some inappropriate comments from his part.
