We had a fantastic experience on the private version of this Urban Adventures tour (aka Legends and Culture tour). Our guide, Marcelo, was excellent- extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and personable. His love and appreciation of his hometown of Quito were evident throughout the tour. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the market, where we were introduced to various aspects of the rich Ecuadorian culture and were able to sample a cornucopia of local fruit. We also found the engaging walk through Old Town, visiting various historical sites, to be very informative. Marcelo also provided invaluable local advice about safety, dining and other excursions in and around Quito. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Daniela, was fantastic! She had many interesting insights to share, but didn't overwhelm us with too much information. She was patient and responded to all of our questions with enthusiasm. The tour itself was a great way to taste different food in the Old Town of Quito which included many unusual fruits, sorbet, candy, chocolate and a warm, tasty local coconut milk drink. Daniela was a great guide on a tour that provided a nice overview of the old town part of Quito. It was very enjoyable.

Overall the tour was very good and learned so much about Quito history. We had a miscommunication about the meeting place. Missed first hour of the tour. After we finally met up. Our tour guide was very nice and made tour interesting. We really enjoyed fruit tasting. Guide was very helpful on where to buy chocolate and coffee. He also recommended an excellent restaurant close to end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour for history of old Quito.

Our guide Carlos was excellent. We wanted to spend more time on some stops and he was very flexible. Our itinerary was great The views from the top of the cable cars was amazing and being able to take in the beauty that is Quito was wonderful. We got a great overview of history and volcanos and earthquakes. We highly recommend this to families or couples.

I totally enjoyed the almost 4 hours city tour. I leaned a lot about history, architecture, religion, food culture and more. Marcelo is a very professional and friendly guy. His knowledge is impressive. I highly recommend this tour.

We were going to be a few minutes late due to traffic and I messaged the tour guide. When we arrived 7 minutes late there was no one there. We went back to the hotel. 1 1/2 hours later I received a call from the tour director apologizing. He said he didn’t know we were coming. He offered to do the tour in the afternoon but we had other plans. I requested a refund which he did not provide. So I paid $140 for nothing!!!!!!

I had been a Urban Adventures traveller for many years, I always believed in their products and how they worked with local companies and experts. Unfortunately seems that all this has changed. They took over and left all this companies blank in the ground. Even reviews have been stolen from them. I am realizing that this tour is using the name of the former owner and his reviews. Be aware. This tour is just a regular city tour, not amazed.
