  • Well organized, friendly people, expert guide, very enjoyable tour and train ride.

  • This trip said there would be a self-guided tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. There wasn't a tour and in fact, according to our driver, there hasn't been one for about 6 months. After spending 45 minutes in the cheese gift shop which was worthless, we then had to kill some time before catching the train so we drove to some place on Tillamook Bay. It looked like a garbage dump to me and I really tried to figure out why we were there. I never saw a historic lighthouse on the way to the town of Canon Beach. Once there we had 40 minutes to walk from one end of town to the next. Needless to say, there wasn't time to browse through the quaint shops or enjoy another opportunity to walk on the beach. I would re-do the whole trip...........maybe start with Seaside, drive to the train, take it, have lunch and have more time in Canon Beach - at the rock and in town. My husband felt the same way as I. As a former travel agent I have used Viator before and have been most satisfied But if this was my first trip, I would never use it again.

  • We were very disappointed in the Tillamook cheese factory stop. We were supposed to be able to see the cheese being made in the factory but when we got there, the viewing area was closed due to remodeling or something along those lines. The tour guide Sarah did not seem to know about this ahead of time. Since this was mentioned in the ad for this tour and we drove about 1.5 hours to get there, it would have been nice if the company had let her know ahead of time and either told us or sent us to an alternate stop. Instead we got to visit the gift shop for half an hour!

The train ride was also so..so. There was no narration along the way and it was only a half hour long. More description in the ad for both of these issues would have been very helpful!
