Great tour if you are short on time but want to see a little of everything- landscape, food, culture, shopping! Highly recommend

Our guide, Irene, made this tour so special for our little group. It was a wonderful day where we learned so much. And saw many, many things aside from simply the market where we spent around 1.5 hours. I wasn't quite expecting all the stops but it was wonderful. The restaurant we went to for lunch was also fab.

Had a great day out with Irene (guide) and Memo (driver). The stops were interesting and substantive, and the variety of activities was diverse and fun. I learned a lot and was never bored. I especially enjoyed the waterfall and the little market leading up to it. In addition to being funny and charming, Irene was very patient and never rushed us through the different sites - I had time to see as much as I wanted. The tropical fruit tasting at the end was a novel twist. I highly recommend this tour and the two professionals who facilitated it.

This was a perfect trip with Irene, the tour guide. She has a great sense of humor and her driver for the day was Memo. Both of them did an exceptional job of making sure the small group we had were comfortable and safe during the long trip to Otavalo. One of the stops on the trip was at a place that made indigenous music instruments and that was accompanied by a family playing those instruments, very special! We had lunch at the Otavalo market and she also gave us a taste of the several varieties of fruit that are grown in the area. If you’re lucky when you book this trip, you’ll get these two people to give you the tour!

I really enjoyed our day trip with Quito Bus Tours to Otavalo market via Cayambe, San Pablo lake & the Peguche waterfall. Our guide, Irene, was lovely and very knowledgeable about each place we visited. She went above and beyond to share information about Ecuador with us - we even had a little fruit tasting of local fruits which was a lovely touch. Our visit to Nanda Manachi traditional musical instrument exhibition/house was a real highlight as we got to listen to traditional indigenous music and see how the instruments are made and played. And I have to give a special shout-out to Memo, our driver, who navigated a major road closure and unpaved roads like a pro and very safely. A fun day out! 👍🏼

Great experience! Our tour guide Irene and bus driver, Carlos, made it very memorable for us. They were very knowledgeable and shared many stories with us that were entertaining, full of cultural history and it’s significance of the people and places. It is a perfect way to spend a day around Quito. The waterfall Was gorgeous and fun to visit. And the lake with views of the volcano mountain was breathtaking. We enjoyed a visit to an authentic indigenous artisan home and their music. Irene and Carlos added a very personal touch by buying some local fruits that were very exotic for us that we don’t get in the US. We truly enjoyed the fruit tastings, some sour and some sweet! Chitin it’s was our favorite! I recommend this tour to anyone looking for a day trip around Quito. Visit to cafe near equator and flower shops for roses made it as sweet as their chocolates and as romantic as the Equdorian people. It is well balanced with variety of activities including visit to market for some souvenir shopping!! Thank you for enriching our experience to this Ecuador trip!!!
