This was a great tour! Went to many spots we couldn’t have reached in a car, had a great guide and a wonderful, family-like group to share the experience with!

David was an excellent guide! Very considerate and helpful and kind and welcoming. We got to see incredible views and hear tidbits of interesting history. This 3.5 hour tour even included a stop for espresso and dessert in Little Italy! It's a safe ride through scenic parks along the Rideau canal and over the bridge to Quebec, through nice neighborhoods and paved trails. The tour provides a bottle of water and a granola bar, but bring extra water too! There are a couple stops with bathrooms too, if you were to need them. I HIGHLY recommend springing for an e-bike (it's an add-on after booking) if you're not a powerful rider and can't effortlessly cycle uphill - there were only a few inclines, and everyone else on the tour managed well on regular bikes, but I'm a novice with a weird knee and I would've fallen behind for sure! My pedal assist e-bike made for an easy, fun ride, with all the joy of cycling in the great outdoors. Their storefront/meet up spot on Spark Street has bathrooms and an expansive cafe with food and drink, and a beautiful outdoor patio to rest/collapse at afterwards. They've thought of everything. Easily the best experience in town. Thanks!

We are a family of four from Vancouver (kids are 12 and 14). My wife grew up in Ottawa and wanted to show us the highlights of her city. We spent 3 1/2 hours riding around the city with Sparky. She was a fantastic guide. As it turned out, we were the only people on the tour so we had her to ourselves. There were nice stretches of peaceful rides along the canal and we stopped regularly for Sparky to fill us in on an historical fact or a description of the history of the site we were on. It went everywhere from downtown to the site of the first ever hockey game, to parts of Gatineau across the river. We would highly recommend Sparky and the tour!! (It's also a nice way to travel int he summer so you can get a bit of a breeze in the summer Ottawa heat - much better than a walking tour!)

Dave was a wonderful guide and it was clear he really loved his city. I’ve already recommended this tour to a friend coming later this summer. We enjoyed all the leisurely riding as well as all the information Dave provided. The stop at Carmelito’s was very nice too. We’ve been on bike tours in many cities and this was one of the best.

We went for a tour again this year and brought family with us to experience it. Such a fantastic tour - we had 8 people ages 12, 14, 15, 17 and all the way up to 50 years old. Everyone enjoyed it. Our tour guide was Sparky again - can't say enough about this wonderful and talented guide! She's the best tour guide ever! Maria and her team helped setup the tour for our group and was excellent to communicate with and accommodate us. Highly recommend booking with Escape Bicycle Tours!! We will be back next year for the 5 hour tour!
