Know More about this tour

So Salvador of Bahia, praised in prose and verse for its beauty and cultural traditions, is also characterized by an unusual geographical landscape.

The area popularly known as lower city corresponds to the Costal area of the picturesque Bay of All Saints. In this itinerary, the tour starts at the Toror Dike, a lake surrounded by gardens and century-old trees guarded by statues of Orixas, a majestic monument dedicated to the African gods and the heritage of our ancestors.

This lake provides a panoramic view of the soccer stadium, rebuilt for the World Cup. Continue the ride through the streets marked by the presence of colonial and contemporary architectural styles resulting from urbanization processes developed after the abolition of slavery.

The tour proceeds by unveiling the beaches of Ribeira and the Itapagipe peninsula, where a visit will be made to a workshop of the Portuguese art of painting on tiles. In addition, there will be an opportunity to savor unique tropical fruit ice cream in a traditional ice cream shop founded in the 1930s.

This tour will also provide our guests with the opportunity to feel the vibration in the church of Bonfim, founded in 1754 and currently standing as the most renowned tent of miracles for Bahian people. Proceed to visit the Montserrat Fortress, the most important sight of defense forces of the lower city during the colonial period, which is a strategic point that gives us a broad view of the beauty of the city of Salvador.

The tour concludes with a visit to Mercado modelo, a major landmark of colonial Brazil in the city's seaport that is listed by UNESCO as intangible heritage of Brazil. It also serves as a space for a free market with wide varieties of art work and handcrafts.

Over an hour late picking us up. Poor communication. Didn't come to our hotel, just called instead. No greeting. No apology.
