The bus pick up & drop off from hotel was good. The standard of the room in the cruise was very good - room smelt like lavender and was clean and cozy! There was a lot of food on board (small add on - the variety of lunch and dinner can be improved). The activities met the expectations mentioned in the cruise itinerary. Our guide - Bobby (Tai) spoke English and was very funny and helpful! All cruises in Halong Bay offer the similar itinerary and the boats are similar, so if you want to have a great but affordable experience at the same time - pick Lavender Elegance.

Everything was excellent! The service, tour guide, food, etc. Halong Bay was perfect😍🥰. At the end of the tour Bobby was our friend.

The caves, rowing the boats and seeing all the monkeys was a very nice experience. The food was good and the beds were comfortable. Our guide Bobby was very informative and helpful when we had questions or needed help. Also, The boat had a nice rooftop area where you can enjoy the view. Overall, it was a nice time and I enjoyed it here.

Discovering the islands was a fascinating experience. The nature is unique, would recommend to visit.

Tour experience: Halong Bay was beautiful and definitely worth a visit. I did this cruise in December and it was freezing so keep what season you will be travelling in mind. I would recommend just doing a day trip if travelling in winter. All boats arrive at the cave, ti top island and kayak site at the same time so it can get very crowded. You get around 1 hour to visit each site. Our tour guide was Bobby and he was great. The cooking demonstration was fine, there was no squid to catch in December for the after dinner squid catching activity and they cancelled tai chi in the morning as it was too cold. Overall I think a day trip is sufficient if you just want to see Halong bay. Boat: the boat was nice. We stayed in the upper rooms that had its own balcony. These rooms were tiny and there was not a lot of room to store luggage. The private balcony was nice but you can just sit at the upper deck if you want to sit outside. The food was very average and kind of dampened the experience. Staff were fine but did not speak much English.

Very nice tour guide (Alex) who was very knowledgeable and funny. Just being able to cruise around Ha Long Bay was the highlight.

Amazing experience with the junk boat. There were a total of 11 rooms (5 on second floor with balcony). We had the ones with balconies and it was great! Our boat anchored at a very nice spot at night so it was a great experience sitting in the balcony in the morning to the view of the limestone karsts and isles. (And not in the middle of all the other boats) There was a nice deck area on level 3 where we hung out all day. The wind was chilly and the view was fantastic. Food though, was not very good. Don’t expect to have yummy food on board. Drinks were charged separately too. Room was okay but toilet was small. The blanket was so thin that we all wore our jackets to sleep so maybe come prepared. One thing to note, you will need to take a smaller boat to board the junkboat and that rooms were not huge; so it is best to come with small bags and only necessities. Activities include visiting titop island and surprising cave on day 1, spring roll making class, squid catching(no squid in dec) and wooden boat to visit hang luon. View was great! Overall the experience was great because I wasn’t expecting really awesome “hotel stay” but rather was focusing on the scenic experience. We saw many other junk boats/cruises that were bigger and had decided that ours was a nice and cozy size. We had a really good and relaxing time. Highly recommended!
