Start with a visit to the Ngoc Son pagoda on the north end of the lake. Cross the red Bridge of the Rising Sun to reach the temple. From this most prominent point in the city, follow the northern edge of the lake heading west and cross over the busy traffic circle. This busy square is known as the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square (the Tonkin Free School Movement Sq.), named for the early-20th-century nationalist movement that would eventually spawn grass-roots Communism in Vietnam.

Located at no. 76 Hang Buom St., the Bach Ma Temple is open from 8 to 11am and 2 to 5pm daily (until 9pm on holidays). Built in A.D. 1010, the temple is dedicated to the White Horse of legend, which, it is said, helped the early king of the Viet people, Ly, decide where and how to defend his city. The temple interior is a grand courtyard of massive red pillars and large Buddhist statuary and altars.

Ma May is the beginning of the busiest budget tourist areas of the Old Quarter. In and among Internet cafes and tourist restaurants (often one and the same), you'll find good examples of traditional and colonial buildings. The Huong Tuong Communal House is at no. 64 Ma May, and one of the most interesting sights in the city can be found at no. 87 Ma May, a refurbished and restored traditional house. Here, for a fee of just 5,000 VND, a young docent dressed in a traditional flowing ao dai gown will take you on an informative tour of the building and can explain important details about life in the Old Quarter in centuries past. With the careful renovations done by a UNESCO-funded, French- and Canadian-backed organization, this classic home offers a unique opportunity to have a close look at the interior detail of a traditional Old Quarter home. Dong Xuan Market is located in the Old Quarter, the West is Dong Xuan Street, the North is Hang Khoai Street, the South is Cau Dong Street, the East is the Dong Xuan Market Alley.
The market gate looks to the west, ahead is a small gap. The North has Huyen Thien shop - later changed to Huyen Thien pagoda. Right behind the market is Bac Qua market. So many people call both markets Dong Xuan - Bac Qua.
On the northwest corner of the market, there is Cam Tu Radio to commemorate the National Day of Resistance in 1946.

Day 2: Ninh Binh ( Hoa Lu - Tam coc ) full day trip with biking, caving

It takes an 2-hour drive to Ninh Binh, which is about 105km to the South of Hanoi. On the road to Ninh Binh, you pass by a stop-over in Dong Van, Ha Nam Province for relaxation.

10.30 a.m:You will arrive Hoa Lu. Our English speaking tour guide will show you to visit Hoa Lu. Hoa Lu was the capital of Vietnam between 10th and 11th century. The area is one of ricefields broken by picturesque limestone mountains, the capital at Hoa Lu covered an area of 300 ha (3.0 km2), including both the Inner and Outer Citadels. It included defensive earthen walls, palaces, temples and shrines, and was surrounded and protected by mountains of limestone. Today, the ancient citadel no longer exists, and few vestiges of the 10th century remain. Visitors can see temples built in honor of the emperors Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh, their sons, and Queen Duong Van Nga.

1.30 p.m: You get on a private sampan for enjoying rowing through three famous caves in Tam Coc (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba). They have a lot of beautiful Stalactites and stalactites with different calorful. After finish visiting Tam Coc. You have an oppurtunity to ride bicycle around Tam Coc town and Villages.

After boat trip time round 2 hours in Ngo Dong river , we will back Tam Coc dock then relaxing and cycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc - Bich Dong (around 5 km)
