The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the second level qualification. It comprised of theory and six different adventure dives which concentrate on a particular activity or skill within the realm of scuba. There are two mandatory dives: deep and underwater navigation, others you can choose with your instructor based on your interests.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you'll find out how to plan dives to deal with the physiological challenges. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills.
Completing this course you can continue learning in order to become a Rescue Diver or to explore deeper caverns using enriched air.Every morning begins with a transfer from your hotel in Playa del Carmen to the dive center. After a theoretical part you'll get to the dive site where adventure starts. Normally you'll perform two dives per day alternating with the theoretical sessions. Passing the exam you'll become qualified to dive at any dive center in the world up to a maximum depth of 100 feet (30 meters).
