  • This ended up being a private tour - lucky me! Miguel was on time, professional, very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about his work. We had a lovely day, seeing all the sights I wanted and I learned so much about Panama's history. Highly recommend. Thank you Miguel!

  • Tony did a fantastic job sharing with us a great history lesson of Panama including the Miraflores Locks, both the old city and new city, past and present. Eating and drinking at the Fish Market with the locals was great and shopping in the old city was icing on the cake!
    Tony is most professional!

  • If you need the essentials of Panama City, this is the tour to take. As we were intending to go through the Panama Canal later in our trip, a visit to the Miraflores Locks was important. Their museum and seeing ships in the locks - really informed us. Of the other things that we did, the visit to Ciudad Vieja was also good.

  • My wife and I got a real treat when we showed up for our tour, as we were the only attendees that day and Tony himself was our guide! The flexibility of a small group cannot be overstated, as we certainly was able to see more of the Miraflores locks and the Casco Viejo than we would have otherwise. We had enough excess time that we extended our walk through Casco Viejo and stopped to eat at the wonderful Diablicos. We both enjoyed getting to tour so much history, magnified by Tony's keen storytelling and the inspiring push of so many Panameños to preserve the buildings in the city.

We both came away with a tremendous appreciation of the Canal and the modernity and diversity of Panamá as a city and country. Special thanks to Tony for making our tour so special and meaningful. His tour of the city and locks certainly was as good if not better than any we've experienced elsewhere. Muchas gracias, amigo!

  • Miguel was excellent! We would use him again for sure.

  • Our guide was excellent. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would book a tour with him again. Thanks for a wonderful time in Panama City.

  • Our tour guide from Tony's tour I forgot his name! I am so sorry! is amazing! He showed us around Panama and he is so knowledgable and such an amazing person, 100 recommend!

  • Frank was my personal tour guide for this tour. A stroll in the cool morning air through Casco Viejo/Casco Antiguo brought home the memories of history. The colonial aspect of this part of Panama City has been well preserved and is still being restored or prepared for the tourist or the foreign investor .
The visit to the Miraflores locks, should be a must for any visitor to Panama.Entry is a rather steep US 15.00 with the customary discrimination of foreign visitors. It is well worth it though. Visit the cinema like presentation, it is very instructive and gives you a great overview of that engineering marvel called the Panama Canal. Bring a pullover with you - the theatre is an ice box ! . Also not to miss is the adjacent Museum spread over 4 floors. It's a once in a lifetime experience to be that close to a pathbreaking concept in engineering history. To round up our tour, we also visited the adjacent islands via the new causeway, the ring roads, the recreation areas and Frank also showed me the buildings and the area that was once the exclusive Canal Zone under North American jurisdiction. Our tour was rounded off with lunch at the fish market. A most enjoyable and informative day, thanks also to the knowledge and expertise of Frank. I can highly recommend this tour, possibly done best in the off season March to November before the real tourist stream sets in.
