Know More about this tour

Our check in point is at Flamenco Marina, located on the last island of the Amador Causeway. It is right next to the Panama sign and behind the Duty Free Shop.
The Bridge of the Americas is a road bridge in Panama, which spans the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Designed by Sverdrup & Parcel, it was completed in 1962 at a cost of US$20 million, connecting the north and south American land masses.
The tour starts at Flamenco Marina. You will board the Pacific Queen and set sail towards the entrance of Panama Canal on the Pacific Ocean. Take a moment to admire the Bay of Panama and Panama Citys splendorous skyline before you pass under the Bridge of the Americas. The Panama Canal partial transit tour begins with the Pacific Queen entering the Miraflores Locks where the vessel is raised 18 meters above sea level in two distinct steps. You will then enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small artificial body of fresh water that separates Miraflores from Pedro Miguel Locks. Next, the Pacific Queen will enter Pedro Miguel Locks, which is the second set of locks on the Pacific side, and here the vessel is raised 9 meters in one step. After exiting the Pedro Miguel Locks, you will be able to view the new Centennial Bridge which crosses over the Canal. You will then enter the south end of the Gailard Cut where the Chagres River flows into the Canal. The Gailard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake) is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value. The Pacific Queen will travel the Cut's 13.7 kilometers on the way to Gamboa Dredging Division. As you transit the Cut you will be able to appreciate the continuous maintenance that this area requires, because it is very susceptible to landslides. You will disembark at the Gamboa Dredging Division where you will board motor coaches for a 45-minute ride back to the Flamenco Marina.
Panama's Centennial Bridge is a major bridge crossing the Panama Canal. It was built to supplement the overcrowded Bridge of the Americas and to replace it as the carrier of the Pan-American Highway. Upon its opening in 2004, it became the second permanent crossing of the canal.

I have been through the canal three times before-on a cruise ship. I had 4 other friends who had never been at all. Going through the canal was a bucket list moment for them. Efficiently run, informative. Right length of time. Turnkey tour!! Is worth the time and money, if you want to see AND HEAR all about the Canal. As an aside go to the Canal Museum in Old town before this tour. It is a great Museum and misses nothing.

Excellent trip very organized only bad was full people exceed the capacity but all very organized. All was epxlained in detail

It was very educational and the staff was very helpful. We had an enjoyable time and took some great photographs of the canal and locks.

It was an interesting tour - bilingual Spanish/English - with lots of detailed information. We went through two of the locks and this was plenty to get the experience of going through the canal. Doing the full day tour would have been too long and would have gotten boring as the process is quite slow and is repetitive from lock to lock.

We enjoyed seeing the actual operating of the locks and following a huge container ship through “the cut”. The lunch was good and generous.

Great way to experience the canals in person. Well organized. Good communication from the tour company prior to the tour. Pick-up was on time, and the tour's commentary was comprehensive and informative. Highly recommend it for those interested in learning more about the canal and getting a close-up of how it all works.

Tour was great and very informative. Weather was not great but the top deck is covered. Box lunch was ok but much more than I expected having had box lunch’s on tours before. I am glad we didn’t do the entire length. That would have need a very long day.

This is a fantastic way to see the Panama Canal and understand the technology and logistics of getting massive ships from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico. If you really want to appreciate the Panama Canal, you need to see it from a boat. That said, there is a lot of time on the boat where not much is happening, and the boat doesn't offer much else to do. For a lot of people, they may get enough of an exposed to the Canal by taking an uber to the Miraflores Locks and watching boats from the observation deck. They guide on the boat provide a lot of interesting information, but the PA system was not great and at times you had to strain to hear him. The provided lunch was a bag lunch that was ok at best, and they kept making a point that we could not drink our own water and had to buy bottled water from them, which just seems cheap on their part.

Mi intencion era realizar la excursion de Navegacion parcial por el Canal, pero lamentablemente al realizarse solo los dias sabados no pude hacerla por no coincidir con mi estadia en esa ciudad.

A must see. The guide is the best you will ever find - very patient and willing to answer any questions you may have
