Our guide Mitch was excellent. He was personable and easy to chat with. He had good local knowledge and history to share. In addition, he shared some funny stories regarding past tours. Wine was awesome also.

We had a spectacular time on this Parisian bistro tour with our group and our guide, Raphael. As other reviewers have mentioned, Raphael truly makes the tour special. It really did feel like hanging out with a friend who was taking you to his favorite local spots. The places we visited provided us with real and authentic experiences of Parisian culture. Raphael did a great job of enlightening us about the neighborhood we were in and the places we were visiting. There was more than enough wine, bread, beer, and cheese for everyone on our tour (the escargot was delicious!). This tour was the culinary highlight of our Paris trip. Do not hesitate to book this tour. It will be money well spent. Santé!

We did the Marais tour a few years ago and loved it, so when we returned to Paris in June we booked onto this Beer vs Wine tour. It is brilliant. Our host, Raphael, was friendly, engaging, funny and really knew the area and its bars, restaurants and markets. He soon had us all out of our comfort zones eating snails and drinking wine straight from the barrel, before taking us to a bar where we just kept laughing and laughing... OK and drinking. What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon/evening in Paris. Thank you Raphael and also our fellow tourists from Wisconsin who were excellent fun as well.

I had a wonderful yesterday touring markets, restaurants, wine bars and beer bars with Raphael. The drinks and food were world class, by far the best escargot I've had in France. The places we visited were authentic and not overrun with tourists and it was interesting to learn about a new Parisian neighborhood. Raphael is excellent host, making the group immediately feel welcome while also conversing about a range of topics (Art, history, literature, sociology, politics). I felt like I was catching up with a friend I hadn't seen in a few years rather than spending an afternoon with a guide. I recommend this tour if you're interested in eating excellent authentic food and tasting delicious wine and beer.

Fun, fun, fun! We just arrived from the US a few hours before so we were tired and it was rainy - however our guide, Ellen, treated us to a fantastic evening!! She not only guided us thru pubs and brassieres but gave interesting insight into the history and architecture of the area. We were in Europe 20 days and this experience was one of my favorites. Thanks Ellen!!!

What a pleasure my husband and I had on our tour with Emile! We were afforded the luxury of having a personalized tour, as no others had signed up for the day we had chosen. Emilie was so knowledgeable of the area and provided us with so much history of the Faubourg St. Antoine neighborhood and of Paris in general. We have been to Paris several times, and she showed us beautiful passages and lively streets that we had never experienced before. She had prepared for the tour as every place we visited, welcomed us with top notch service. Emilie was so personable and friendly towards us; it was like we were old friends catching up! We were having such an enjoyable time together that the she stayed with us 30 minutes longer than the scheduled tour time. What a tribute to her and her professionalism. The tour was very well organized. It took us to 4 locations within the Faubourg St. Antoine area. Each place was unique in it's own way. We experienced wonderful French wines and local beers as well as awesomely paired food with our drink selection. We will be visiting each of these places again when we return next year - for sure!. We highly recommend this tour. It is well worth your time and the price you pay. We hope you get Emilie so you can have the same memorable experience we did.

We spent the perfect evening with our guide Adele. My wife and I completely enjoyed our stroll as she shared some of her favorite wine shops, markets, bistros and bars in the Bastille and Faubourg St. Antoine area of Paris. Adele lived in this area for a few years and her knowledge was impressive, but at the same time, It felt like we had a friend showing us some hidden gems in the neighborhood. It was at the perfect pace and we learned more about local beer/wine, food history and stories of Paris. It runs about 3 hours. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad we booked this tour- we had the best time. Raphael was our guide and there were 3 of us plus him so it was great fun. We visited different bars and the market, enjoying a good range of beer and wine. They were places that you simply wouldn't find as a tourist- choosing cheese in the market, and taking it to eat at a craft beer bar was wonderful- we even tried snails in another bar. What made this trip so standout was Raphael who was just fantastic- we chatted about French and British culture, politics and the history of France and Paris. It was like a night out with one of your friends you don't see very often. I can't recommend this highly enough and we will try another of these tours next time we visit. It was the highlight of our weekend.
