Tour ended one hour early. Not a good value for the money at all. Have done six other food tours in various cities across US and Europe and this was by far the most disappointing.
-
Luis was amazing! His knowledge of French wines and gastronomy made for a very enjoyable afternoon trekking through Mont Marte!
-
Highly disappointed in the amount of tastings for the money. I have done one of these in several large cities and always feel like I have had a full meal. This one ended an hour early and mainly consisted of our tour guide practicing for a wine test he is getting ready to take. Really feel like it was a waste of money and would not recommended Viator using this operator again(and I hate saying this, because he was a nice guy-it just paled in comparison to other food tours and it was expensive!)

Learning about the history of the area such as the original name of Paris, why the building are all the same and we were taken to Roman ruins. Also enjoyed the tips on how to order items in the shops. Well done Simon!
-
My wife and I took this tour with Tibu (apologizes for spelling?). He was fantastic! It was an excellent mix of history, culture and cuisine. We really enjoyed our time, had all of our questions answered and the tasting at the end was excellent. Highly recommend!
-
This tour was wonderful! It was just as advertised. We started at an open market, visited and learned about cheese shops, bakeries, jams, honey, teas and wines. We also learned a lot about Paris and about the Latin Quarter where we were staying. Akito was a lovely tour guide and she put together a beautiful presentation of the food that we had purchased along the way to enjoy while sipping some excellent wine! I would highly recommend this tour!

Thibaut was a very friendly and warm docent. He taught us about both modern and historical ideas. I loved seeing the Pantheon and hearing about Saint Genevieve as well as Louis XV. Tge food was excellent-croissants and coffee, breads, cheeses, wine!!! We were full, so if your tour starts at 9:00, don’t plan lunch until about 1:30. A rich experience!
-
I got a whole new appreciation of iconic French breads and cheeses, and Paris's heritage, through this intimate perspective form a knowledgeable guide. Would definitely recommend this.

My husband and I enjoyed the gastronomy tour of the Latin District with Barbara. Despite 10 trips to France, this was our first visit to the 5th Arrondissement. We had a great time! We learned a great deal about the history. We walked to the main part of town, to the education centers, to the weekly market, the frommage shop, the wine store, the delicious croissant/patisserie shop and happily sampled foods as we walked. Our gathering for tasting the foods we purchased was a delight. I highly recommend this tour and Barbara is fabulous!

Our guide was not only extremely knowledgeable about the district and the food that we were discussing but she was humorous and had a vast knowledge of sustainable and conscientious culinary habits, which really made the visit that much more educational. She also was a restaurant critic so she was able to discuss sourcing and preparation techniques of the French food.
