Know More about this tour

Get to know the City of Light through the eyes of a local on your full-day tour, which starts in the heart of one of Paris’ most expensive and fashionable neighborhoods, where luxury, elegance, and beauty are around every corner.

With your guide, stop by an illustrious food store to sample a delicate macaron, a beloved French specialty. Then walk toward the Musée du Louvre, home to some of the world’s most celebrated art, such as the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. You won't go in (it can take hours—no, days—to properly explore this treasure trove of art), but you'll wander through an arcade that offers a free glimpse into the sculpture gallery. Relax in the well-manicured gardens, and enjoy some of the best sightseeing Paris has to offer.

Next up is more food. Head to a lively Parisian market to indulge in one of France’s most popular gastronomic pleasures, cheese. Perhaps taste some smooth, mild Brie, or sample a slice of pungent Roquefort, known as the ‘King of Cheeses.’ Then stroll through Paris’ secret arcades to discover quirky shops, boutiques, and one of the oldest buildings in the city.

Continue to the fascinating Centre Pompidou, where the first leg of your tour ends. Here, you have a bit of free time to wander and explore on your own. You could grab lunch at a bistro, or pick up a quick sandwich; be warned—there’s a lot of food to come in the afternoon. Or, perhaps go up to the top of the Pompidou for the best free view of Paris. (Food, drinks, and any entrance fees at your own expense during this break.)

After an hour, meet up with your group and guide outside the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Then, head off to explore the medieval neighbourhood of Le Marais, where highlights include beautifully preserved Gothic churches and streets, the remains of Paris’ 12th-century defence walls or breathtaking tucked away mansions. Le Marais is full of sweet shops, pâtisseries, boutiques and cafés, so be sure to quiz your guide on their recommendations so you can come back in your own time. We'll have a peek in three different pastry stores to taste iconic French sweets & pastries!

Finally, stop at a lovely wine bar to get a personalised wine tasting. Sip a range of French wines and try some delicious liqueurs, including Armagnac or "Old Plum", accompanied by a variety of French cheese or charcuterie, like ham or rillettes.

After an action-packed day in Paris and a peak by Paris most beautiful square, Place des Vosges, bid your guide farewell and end your tour at Bastille in the heart of vibrant Paris.

  • Great tour! Arturo was the best tour guide one could hope for! He gave lots of details, answered questions enthusiastically, connected with the group, and really felt like a friend sharing his city rather than a tour guide. Excellent!!!

  • Amazing tour with Adele!! we saw Paris like a local!!

  • Loved this tour. A great way to immerse yourself in the culture, experience what the locals do. Indulge your senses with the sights, sounds, aromas and tastes of Paris! Experience The best of the best chocolates, cheese, pastries and wine Paris has to offer. My tour guide, Adele was a wealth of information on the history, landmarks, current trends and events happening around Paris. Window shopped high end designer boutiques, saw several Churches, gardens and parks, strolled through quaint back streets and viewed the oldest and newest architecture in the city.

  • This tour was fantastic. Our tour guide was exceptionally. Knew Paris well and explained the historically significance of the places we visited. We walked through wonderful one way streets, ate bread and cheese, chocolates, wine, macaroons, etc.

  • We bought this tour literally at the very last minute because it was recommended to us the day before. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable of all the spots we visited. All the walking along these alleys, plazas, streets, etc along Paris was really worth it. At the end, finishing with the wine tasting was superb! Our only comment is that I would cut down the pastry and chocolate tasting to do instead something more like a coffee tasting where the group can sit for a bit. Too much sugar along the way. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it. PS. Cheese tasting was sooooo good..

  • This tour was one of our best days in Paris by far. We spent the morning with Tim and the afternoon with Adele. They were both extremely knowledgeable and charming. It was also nice that they were both French but spoke perfect English, so we had the opportunity to learn about life from the point of view of a true Parisian. We saw so many areas of the city that we never would have seen otherwise. We were so happy to have included this tour on our itinerary. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

  • Timothy was our guide for the day and he was so much fun. We had a wonderful day exploring paris, trying out different types of cheeses, macaroons and wines. He told us alot about Paris' history too. I would highly recommend anyone that is looking for a tour to do in Paris to do this one. It does involve a lot of walking but it is totally worth it.
