Know More about this tour

Since its inauguration in 1989, more than 7 million visitors a year enter the museum through the pyramid. Enter the Louvre here, the same that Robert Langdon entered the Louvre at the beginning of The Da Vinci Code.

Follow in the footstepsof the main characters of The Da Vinci Code as you learn about how the Da Vinci Code was filmed in the Louvre and see the some of the most famous collections in the world.Without taking sides in the controversy surrounding the novel and film, some of Dan Browns key themes will be re-framed and his extravagances corrected.

Those who have read the novel or seen the film will no doubt recognize the different parts of the tour, but this tour will appeal to everyone and allow you to discover the Louvre through an alternative, amusing, historical and romantic angle.

There were supposed to be 5 of us but two did not show, leaving my family with basically a private tour. While the confirmation note we received did not give the address for the "gift shop" we were to meet at, a quick call to the number on the confirmation straightened that out. Easy to find and a quick walk from the Louvre itself. Our tour guide was on time and amazing! Ivan is a true student of the works and able to convey his love for everything we saw in such an enormously pleasant way. At the end of the tour, he used his knowledge of what had interested us to lay out a path for further exploration we could do on our own, including showing us on the map exactly where to go. We saw everything in a new way and spent another 2 hours walking around! As for the "Da Vinci Code" elements, there really aren't that many when you think about it, but it did bring things to life in a different way and we appreciated it.
