Know More about this tour

Your drive to Belgium takes you through northern France to Bruges, not far from the North Sea in northern Belgium. Bruges is a simply exquisite town. The intact medieval centre of this Unesco World Heritage site looks like a living canvas painted by a Flemish old master.

Upon arrival in Bruges, your guided tour begins with a walk through the city's medieval heart. Highlights include the magnificent Grand Place, quaint houses with elaborately decorated facades, the Halles (an outdoor market with a belfry), the Place du Bourg with the Saint-Sang Basilica, the Gothic-style Town Hall and the Beguine Convent.

In summer (April to October) you'll then take a short cruise down Bruges' canals to see this lovely old city from the water. You'll have free time afterwards to pursue your own interests, perhaps visiting the museums of Flemish art or browsing for handmade lace and Belgian chocolates.

  • Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The town was beautiful, and we are so glad that we went to visit. Bruges is a friendly town, and the shops were varied and reasonably priced. The bus was comfortable, with reclining seats, and plenty of room. Our only disappointment was that our boat tickets were prepaid, and the lines were so long that we were not able to to get through the line in time, and we were not reimbursed for those tickets. I'm sure they used them for the next group and saved on not having to buy so many.

  • Bruge itself was fantastic. Loved the city and people in it. The tour guides have some learning to do from people in Belgium. Specifically the guide who was the spanish speaking translator. He reserved two seats for himself and his counterparts, and told me that I could not sit there. He also told me i could not sit in the seats that had more leg room and tables, because I was by myself, and those were seats for groups of four. Why that is, I don't know, when almost everything in France is first come first serve. I don't know why some of the french people have absolutely no concept of customer service, trying to make people feel comfortable, especially when the tourists spend so much money in this beautiful city and on tours. I think they need to be reminded just how much money tourism brings to this country, and perhaps adjust their attitudes. My trip to Bruge was not ruined, I had a fantastic time, but the tour guides have some work to do. They did not make the trip interesting. The money spent on this tour was basically the ride to and from Belgium, which I could have done on my own my taking the train, and it would have been a lot cheaper. This particular tour was not worth the money spent.

  • Beautiful journey through the French and Belgium countryside with beautiful autumn colours. Walking tour was a little rushed so it was easy to lose the group if you stopped too long to look at something or went to the toilet. However, a number of times, our guide had made it very clear how to get back to our pick up point in case we lost the group.
Bruges is a beautiful place and well worth the visit.

  • Great day in Bruges. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and history. There was plenty of free time after the walking tour to explore on your own, have lunch, shop, etc.

  • The guides were great !! The only reason I didnt rate this trip higher is because of the long bus ride. We were on the bus longer than we were in Bruges. I believe the initial information we were given led us to believe the ride was a 2 hour ride each way. But in reality it is a 4 hour ride each way.

  • Great day in Bruges. Totally worth the ride from Paris.

  • Bruges was great. Wish we had more time there.

  • Great trip!

  • The trips to Bruges was worth the travel time required from Paris. Our guide spoke excellent English and provided a lot of excellent historical information about Bruges. The city itself was a delight to walk through, to see the sites, enjoying the excellent food, as well as the chocolates. The shopping was excellent, with reasonable prices and many choices for those with specific wants or desires. Also, don't miss the Michelangelo sculpture in the church that is now a museum. We toured several small museums in Bruges, and each was worth going in and viewing, if only for a few minutes. Our guide also provided insights as to the best chocolate shop he was absolutely correct and a good restaurant that was off the main tourist area thank you.

We would highly recommend going on this adventure from Paris, definitely worth making a day of.
