Know More about this tour

After hotel pickup by minivan, travel about one hour north of Phuket to Suwan Kuha Temple, located in the province of Phang Nga. Along the way, your guide shares informative commentary about the region.

When you arrive, walk into the lofty cave that shelters Suwan Kuha Temple to admire an elegant reclining Buddha statue that measures 45 feet (15 meters) in length, as well as a chedi (Buddhist stupa) and other statues that decorate the cave temple. Snap photos of wild monkeys that hang around outside, but watch out they'll steal any food-like items!

After 30 minutes at the temple, continue your day trip to the nearby pier, where you'll step into a longtail boat for about four hours of touring Ao Phang-Nga National Marine Park (aka Phang Nga Bay) by water.

First up, cruise over to the island of Koh Panyi, where a fishing village sits at the base of towering limestone cliffs. Founded more than 200 years ago by Malay fishermen, the Muslim village consists primarily of buildings that sit on stilts over the water. You have about one hour here to enjoy a Thai lunch at a rustic restaurant with your guide and spend free time checking out the village. Don't miss the floating soccer field, the ingenious invention of local soccer-loving kids.

Next, continue by longtail boat to Koh Khao Phing Kan, aka James Bond Island. Famous for its role as a filming location in the 1974 James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, the island features sculptural rock formations and a sandy beach.

From James Bond Island, hop over to Talu Island for a guided 30-minute tour in sturdy rubber canoes. Then switch back to the longtail boat to return to shore, where you'll board your minivan for the ride back to Phuket for hotel drop-off.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • This tour was amazing!

  • Over all a good trip...covered a lot in a day ...but rather hurried...unrealistic when they exect us to visit a temple, take toliet breaks and fotos etc all in 20 mins. Boarding the boat was risky from james Bond Island as they expected us to somehow stept down 5 feet in to the boat from the docking area...would be very difficult for ladies, older people and some one with disabilities.

  • The places are beautiful but it and #39;s very touristic. Lots of people and the guide don and #39;t really explain you much about what you are seeing. Many fast stop, sometimes just for a picture or souvenirs. Not my kind of trip but at least lunch was good!

  • Brilliant trip but too many stalls!

  • The tour is ok, could be better, the group is very big, around 30 persons.

  • the guide and van driver were very helpful and really funny as well.

  • A good tour with lot of great photo opportunities! Our tour guide was a chubby lady with glasses, all she does is take photos and tell you the name of the various tour spots prior to arrival. Talk to her and get friendly with her and she will explain more information of the tour spots! The Suwan Kuha temple and adjacent monkey cave wasn't anything exciting as we didn't get to see any monkeys, the temple was enchanting! It was a two hour drive by minivan form our hotel and we reached there around noon! Later, we go to the nearby pier, then there is a local Thia motorboat ride, which was fun and there's plenty of photo opportunities! Th lunch at local muslim village Koh Panyee wasn't something great, but you'll definitely be hungry so it fills you up as there is a variety of choices!

James Bond island is a greta spot to take some amazing photos! If you want to buy shiny shells with 'james bond island' carving on it, bargain well as I ended up spending 500 baht for 3 shells. it normally retails for 100 baht/ shell.

  • Overrated : James Bond Island small beach and too many tourists.
Highlight: 30-minute sea canoe trip. A local did the paddling, leaving us time to take photos of the limestone formations and sea caves.
Wildlife: lots of monkeys at Suwan Kuha Temple. Locals sold bananas to feed the monkeys.
Tip: The long tail boat dock for the start of the tour is actually about a two-hour minibus ride from Phuket because of traffic. Be prepared to get wet on the boat trip.
