Travel to the outskirt of Hanoi, passing the countryside of the Red River delta. At the end of the drive, board a ferry across the Cau River to reach the village.
Tho Ha is a good example of a Vietnamese village that somehow escapes urbanization. Here, life goes on the way it has been for many years. We will be exploring the village and capture the local people daily life, a highlight is the layout of bamboo lattices on which the rice papers are dried.
On the way back to Hanoi, visit the But Thap Pagoda - a stunning example of well preserved Vietnamese Buddhist architecture.
6:15am: Arrive at Bac Binh, have breakfast with Vietnamese Pho
7:00-9:00am: Photograph everything Tho Ha has to offer, including walking into people's home and learn about the production
9:00-10:45am: Drive to But Thap pagoda, photograph the serenity of the site.
11:45am: Drop off at your hotel.
