  • The pizza and gelato class was fun. The chef was great and knowledgeable.

HOWEVER, the transportation to and from Pisa was run by monkeys or something. We couldn't find the meeting point in Pisa, because the address given wasn't the right spot according to Google maps. So, I called for help and the woman who answered the phone could only repeat the address. She had no idea where it was either. We did eventually find it.

On the way home, we were all to meet at the pharmacy at the Florence Train station. That is the meeting point for lots of groups, so there were a bunch of drivers with signs. None said viator or anything similar. Our family, plus the other couple that had traveled with us, stood there waiting for our driver, when finally we started asking. Turns out our driver was there but his sign said something completely different.

It made us leave later and would have been a simple fix--just tell us the name of the driving company!

My recommendation is get yourself to Florence and book the pizza and gelato class there.

  • We found the chef to be very informative and knowledgeable, however, we felt the class could have been a little bit more fun. Felt a bit rigid. Not much to learn about making Gelato as a machine does all the work. Finally, the Viator description indicated we would be given the recipes at the end of the class. We were told if we wanted the recipes to sign up on an email list and they would be emailed to us. Our class was September 18th, it is now October 5th and we still have not received the recipes.
