Know More about this tour

Enjoy convenient morning pickup from your hotel in Playa del carmen, and travel with your guide to Tulum, the Walled City that boasts an enviable location. Mounted on the edge of a bluff, Tulum towers above the Caribbean Sea and a flawless white sandy beach. At the ruins, learn about the now-abandoned city that was only inhabited by Maya nobles, high priests and prominent citizens, and then enjoy free time on the nearby beach.

Afterward, visit Rancho San Felipe, a Maya community of 30 residents; part of your tour proceeds goes to the sustainable development of local Maya communities. Meet a shaman during a traditional purification ceremony. Afterward, take a short trek into the jungle and enter Sac Actun ("White Cave") and Nohoch Nah Chich ("Giant Bird Cage"), the Yucatn regions second and third longest cave systems.

Follow your guides lead inside the caves, and learn about the discovery and ongoing exploration of the extensive underground river network that included passageways to Tulum. Arrive at a cenote (natural underground pool) and snorkel in clear waters, surrounded by dramatic rock formations like stalactites and stalagmites.

Next, travel within the lush forest aboard a Mercedes-Benz Unimog, a massive 4x4 vehicle. You'll stop to rappel your way down 40 feet (12 meters) to Yaxmuul, another cenote. Enjoy thrills through the treetop canopy along three ziplines; be prepared for a splashy ending. Wrap up your day with a satisfying buffet lunch of homemade classic Maya fare.

Then board your air-conditioned transport and relax during the ride back to Playa del carmen. Your full-day tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel in the evening.

I don't recommend this tour. ATVS are not taken care of. They only care about the money. If you go get insurance because they will try to scam you out of money!

Let me preface by saying I am not fond of heights. Yet, I really enjoyed the zip lines. Wish we could have repeated each segment again.

The Rio Secreto experience was amazing. The caves are stunning and Karina the guide was fantastic. Hated seeing animals being used as tourist fodder in Tulum!!

Our driver Paulina was wonderfully accommodating. Our ziplining guide, Santiago, was so helpful, kind, funny, and patient. Our Tulum guide, Gamaliel, was so knowledgeable and made the ruins come to life!!

Ziplining and rappelling! Let future visitors know that they will not allow cameras, go-pros or cellphones inside the facility. Also you are not allowed to wear any sunblock or mosquito spray because it's bad for the eco system there. The lunch was ok just bland. Our tour guides were awesome! This was a very awesome package and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Swimming in the cenote was awesome! Zip Lines were great too. Bring extra cash or a credit card to buy pictures at the end, as cameras and valuables are all locked up prior to the west excursion.

  • 17-Apr-2022

This was such an amazing experience! Zip lining, rappelling into a cave, cenote snorkeling, and the yummy lunch. This tour was worth it. Keep in mind when you get there, you will have to leave all of your things in a locker, no phones, go pro, SPF, hats, towels, etc. The tour lasted a few hours. Approximately 3 hours if you don’t do the ruins, about 5 if you do.
