Know More about this tour
There will be many stops on the way to take photos of the unique nature (lit by moonlight at the right times of the month) and search for the lights. Where your tour goes depends on the weather conditions, sometimes this is as far as to the Finnish and Swedish border to find the right conditions for the lights. Travel in small groups to create a special, cozy atmosphere. This also makes the tour more flexible.
Expect an unforgettable experience as the arctic nature is pretty unpredictable. You will be provided with insulated overalls, snacks, and hot drinks. Your guide will take photos on the tour and share them with you after the trip. There will also be tripods for your use (under request).
After the tour you be taken directly to your hotel. Welcome and let the chase begin!
Until the 14th of March the departure time will be 19:00 with a tour duration of 7 hours.

The worst ever .. i have tried many companies and this one was the worst…really waste of time & money …plz avoid!
Once in a lifetime experience and the guides were very helpful caring and attentive Would do this tour again if I was in norway
I want to thank Thomas and Luann for a for an amazing time, even though we weren’t able to see the lights they made the trip super fun and we still had a really good time.
A very unlucky trip having not seen the lights nor had time to stop for the fire or food but the tour guide was great, the bus was comfortable and they tried incredibly hard to make it happen. Communication from Viator was appalling, share incorrect information to questions asked and taking an incredibly long time to do so. I would suggest booking the tour directly through the company and not using Viator.
Thank you to everyone for this nice night excursion. We enjoyed the night around a fire camp observing the sky. We took some picture with some northern lights but unfortunately it was too weak to see them with our eyes. Very nice moment.
Had a great time, the guys were really patient. The northen lights were weak at first but the guys said to wait as the forecast for later looked strong and they were right it was amazing. We got lucky, it was a strong display. They took amazing pics of us all and shared it with us.
I booked the fjord boat trip and the northern lights tour. The boat trip was great, lovely to see the area from a different perspective. The team knew the area so well and provided information throughout the trip. Highlight was the sea eagles coming in for fish. Fish soup lunch was lovely. The lights trip is difficult I had booked a few nights where it was cancelled due to the weather and a refund was processed. Can’t do anything about the weather. My last evening there it did run but the probability of seeing them was low. Julia knew what to look for though and we managed to find a break in the clouds and they appeared. She was brilliant provided great information on the lights. Evening was finished with a camp fire and hot dogs. The smaller number in the group made it a nice experience. A superb experience.
Thomas was just the perfect guide! So much dedication for us to get the best experience! Traveled in a small bus so we could get to exclusive spots with no one around.
Unfortunately I can not rcommend the tour. It is less about the Aurora, cause we did not see it, but about the overall experience. I think that we did not need to stand for at least an hour in the freezing cold, on a spot where it was clear that we weren't going to see the lights. Overall, I think that the tour on the 18.02.2022 should have been cancelled due to very poor weather conditions. It was very overcast and the chances of it clearing were quite poor
We feel so lucky to have seen the Northern Lights on our trip to Tromso. Julia, our guide, was brilliant and it didn’t take her long to spot them early on in our tour and it was a fabulous display. Julia also took some great photos for us all as some of us had a few camera issues! It was lovely to round off the evening with warming soup and hotdogs around a campfire before heading back to Tromso. Also, being in a minibus was preferable to a larger coach as it felt more intimate. All in all the whole evening was well organised by the Polar Adventures team. Thank you for a memorable evening.
