  We went in the middle of August and the heat was quite intense. So although the site is huge and in two hours you can only see a small portion, it was definitely the right choice. We went early which helped us avoid some of the heat and much of the crowds. Our guide was quite good. Highly recommend.

  Unser Guide war ein Profi. Seit seiner Kindheit kennt er das Gelände, studierte Archäologie in Berlin und kam wieder. Seit vielen Jahren arbeitet er hier und kann genau Auskunft über aktuelle Fragestellungen und gewonnene Erkenntnisse der Archäologen an diesem Ort geben. Er erzählte nicht nur über den Ort, sondern auch über das Zeitalter und die Zusammenhänge mit anderen geschichtlichen Ereignissen. Dabei war die Tour auch für meine Familie sehr informativ und unterhaltsam. Spaßige Fakten, kuriose Orte und weitergehende geschichtliche Fakten wechselten sich ab. Die Zeit verging wie im Fluge. Auch wenn man mehr bezahlt als bei einer Gruppenführung - das Geld ist es wirklich wert.

  Our guide, Francesca, was energetic, friendly, and knowledgeable. She did not miss a beat and was clearly so well trained in archaeology and passionate about her specialty. She deftly navigated my husband and I through the crowds and made a hot day at Pompeii an enjoyable and educational experience. She also left us with a handful of excellent recommendations in her native Naples, where we continued our travels after Pompeii. Thank you, Francesca!

  Antonio was absolutely WONDERFUL! We only had two hours and he made sure we saw as much as possible and pointed out so many things we would have missed!

  Visita indimenticabile grazie alla bravissima guida Anna che oltre ad averci spiegato fatti storici e raccontato interessantissimi aneddoti, ha risposto a ogni nostra domanda ed è stata disponibile in tutto. PS Abbiamo saltato la coda all’ingresso!

  Annalisa was our English speaking tour guide and she was phenomenal. I was a bit sceptical about being guided around Pompeii but I’m so glad we were. Annalisa was warm, very witty, and incredibly knowledgeable and interesting, telling us all the things we never would have known had we not had a guide. Anna Lisa’s English was also superb. We were all given an ear piece so we could hear Annalisa talking into a mic; so much better than straining your ears to hear what’s being said. We also skipped the queue by taking this guided tour, worth doing in the heat! Overall, no regrets and I’m SO glad we had the tour (something I’d normally avoid!)

  We booked a walking tour of Pompeii and we weren't sure what it would be like. However, the organisation of the tour and the tour itself were superb. Annalisa was an amazing tour guide, her presentation, knowledge and warm nature had me hooked from the start. Annalisa's knowledge of Pompeii was incredible and she made us laugh with her jokes and the various 'mamma mia' moments! I was sorry when the tour came to an end but Annalisa did point out some onwards places to go and lookaround. We then went over to Herculaneum and both commented that we wanted Annalisa to show us around! Annalisa's real gift is being able make your tour feel really special, even though she does 4 a day. The in-ear radio devices worked well and if we did fall a bit behind we were easily able to find Annalisa thanks to her green umbrella. I've always wanted to go to Pompeii, thank you Annalisa for helping to make it a really great experience!

  Daniela was excellent. She was able to give us a lot of insight about Pompeii in a limited amount of time. She also navigated well around the big crowds, highly recommend it.
