Groupe trop nombreux.

If misty which it seems to always be, you will see nothing but a foggy lake . Our driver Gonzalez was not enthusiastic but just ticked off the places he’d been told to visit. We didn’t go to the ceramics place, the visit to the liquor place didn’t happen, he gave us a cup of liqueur in a windy car park. Hot springs full as it was Saturday- you can’t guarantee entry so ended up in tiny grey pool for 25 minutes. Take a taxi instead. Whole island is hard work, weather very variable hour by hour and no where let’s you book ahead so you just have to hope there will be space. San Miguel is not worth seeing.

Me and my family had a great day on our tour! Our guide Rafael took us to see many amazing sights. Rafael was very friendly and patient and ensured we had a good time. I highly recommend this tour!

We got to see a hole lot of the island during only one day. Our guide Vera shared the stories , myhts and facts about the island in a very funny and informative way, - that I will use in my articles on my travel blog. Btw, one thing; the program says that we can bring the bathing suit and have a bath in the springs, but there was no time for this. (Articles from the trips and the Azores will soon come up at linnsreise.no and also other medias channels.)

We chose this tour because of the myriad of stops on Sao Miguel and the chance to learn about the island from a local guide. We were not disappointed, for the most part. Two items on the list of stops were omitted, both of which we hoped to see - Caldeira Velha Environmental Interpretation Centre and Ceramica Viera. In addition the Viator description mentioned that chargers were available on the van, and they were not. A full day of photos surely zaps a phone-battery, and having access to charging would have been helpful. All that being said, the views were spectacular, lunch was super tasty, the van/bus was comfortable, and our guide was terrific! I would 100% recommend this trip, but be mindful that all of the stops may not be included.

La nostra guida molto preparato e simpaticissimo, posti stupendi e pranzo a buffet buono e abbondante. Unica pecca il brutto tempo ma su questo non si può far niente. Bravi!
