Excellent tour. Our driver was very informative and was very helpful showing us around the buildings and grounds and had a lot of knowledge of Port Arthur.
-
You could get a Redline bus down to Port Arthur from Hobart but with the tour you stop at a number of places on the way and back which makes the tour much more worthwhile. On the way down to Hobart we stopped in Richmond and on the way back at various stunning locations including Devil’s kitchen. Given the history of Port Arthur to not only Hobart but Australia it is worth spending the day there.

Our tour guide Nigel was knowledgeable and provided a good range of information and guidance on how the tour would run. The coach was not too large and the group was not too large. Port Arthur was very interesting as was the short bay cruise. The other stops on the tour were also very interesting with some spectacular scenery.

Picked up on time
A great time -
Great day out, pick up was on time and greeted with friendly service and smile by the lovely Sue.
Sue made us all feel welcome and has extensive knowledge on everything, she was able to give us commentary the whole time, and even took us to see some extra sites.
Would definitely recommend this tour.

We started late, do not know why. Trafic jam delayed on the Road. 1 voit late back. We agreed the time to ne back.

Port Arthur is a fascinating piece of history set in beautiful surroundings. Avoiding the driving was, once again, very valuable. Our guide also added a few extra natural sites on the return to Hobart (e.g. Blowhole). This was a pleasant contrast after the seriousness of visiting the Penal Colony.

The bus driver/tour guide was informative. Port Arthur is an interesting historical site. The 30 minute cruise did not add much to the experience. I would have preferred to stay on land to give myself more time to explore the ruins.

Picked up at Motel..visited some interesting places on the way there and back, highly recommend tour

We really enjoyed this tour even if it rained towards the end of the day. We were 14 people on the bus and we had a great driver/tour leader who kept us entertained, was funny but more importantly told us some good points on our way there and back from Port Arthur. Port Arthur was so interesting and gave us a great idea of the past and the present time on the site. I recommend this tour.
