I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Katie is extremely knowledgeable about Portland's dark past. She's a history major, and it made sense considering she knew so many small and specific details about everything she was talking about. I loved how educational the whole experience was, and going down into the basements and learning about the ghosts that linger there was so exciting. I loved the beer samples especially Cucumber Steve from Old Town Brewing. It may be one of my favorite beers ever. Katie also mentioned a beer (I can't remember what it's called or the brewery it's from; Port-chata I think?) but I didn't get to try it so I guess that means I have to go to Portland again lol. Overall this tour was very informative and engaging. Beer and ghosts stories are a great duo.

Enjoyable tour with an enthusiastic guide - Alan. A good selection of beers in a variety of breweries.

This was not a tour of historic Portland shanghai tunnels or any of the local breweries. Having taking the underground shanghai tunnels tour in Portland, also visited most of our top local breweries, we were expecting more than sitting around in the downstairs cigar den of Kell's tasting their beer. If you are looking for a great Portland beer tour experience, I recommend Brewvana or Brewcycle. The Portland Historical Society hosts the very best Portland haunted shanghai tunnel tours, including local restaurants and breweries on the track. Creating your own Google map and tagging breweries that you would like to check out would provide much better success for a brewery (and walking) tour than this.

We had the best time with Alan at our Portland Beer Walking Tour. It was perfect for a couple wanting to both relax and see downtown Portland/learn a little history. Our guide was so knowledgable and clearly LOVED his job. We loved all the breweries we stopped in and got ideas of many others to try. I would recommend this to anyone who likes beer or is with someone who likes beer!

Alan our guide was fun and informative. Our group was chatty and knowledgeable and stayed away from politics. I would have liked more places but all in all it was a great tour.

This was a great tour with a great tour guide. Not sure how the tour guide was able to explained the brewery process in an easy to understand manner. The sample sizes of the beer were more than adequate and I actually learnt how to rate the potency of beer. The is a fun way to spend a Saturday in Portland.

Alan was a great host and very energetic and knowledgeable about brewing and Portland. This tour was well choreographed and we enjoyed learning new things and meeting new people as we navigated downtown Portland and discovered different breweries.

The tour was very relaxing, filled with a variety of great tasting beers and local knowledge and history. I was looking for a tour where my wife and I could stay in downtown Portland, walk around to see parts of the city and drink some local beers. The beers are served at a few restaurants in downtown Portland, so if you are looking to see the actual breweries, this is not for you.

My girlfriend and I visited Portland in June 2018. One of our adventures was doing a walking brewery tour in downtown Portland. We did our tour with BeerQuest Walking Tours and I have to give them 5 stars. Alan was awesome! So friendly and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable of Portland history, explaining the beer making process, and describing types of beers and what to expect with each one we tried. I would highly recommend using these guys and will be utilizing their services again in the future.
