Know More about this tour

Start in Wenceslas Square in the evening, and set out to discover Prague’s bustling beer scene on a leisurely walk through the city. Take the tram and metro where necessary (tickets are included), and visit beloved beer sanctuaries, buzzing local hotspots, popular beer halls and a microbrewery. As you explore, hear about the city’s history, culture and heritage, and learn how Wenceslas Square is tied with Communism and the Velvet Revolution of 1989.
Hop on the tram and head to a favorite local beer hall in Žižkov, a former industrial suburb that has become the center of Prague's rough-and-tumble nightlife. Choose from 10 kinds of beer, from the most famous Czech brands to lesser-known brews from small Czech microbreweries. Pair your beer with hearty pork chili, served with horseradish and mustard. Surrounded by walls adorned with pictures of the Communist Czech presidents, you'll hear stories about life under Communism as you enjoy your beer.
Board the metro and head to a pub in the Vinohrady area that has 27 beers on tap. Let your guide help you choose, and sample some pickled sausage; it’s a classic Czech beer snack. From Vinohrady, head to a surprise pub that’s chosen by your guide on the day. Perhaps it has a band due to play there, or a speciality beer on sale.
Next up is a pub in Prague Old Town. Here, sample Pilsner Urquell, the most famous Czech beer, from a tank rather than a keg. You will also learn about the birth of Pilsner, one of the most famous beers in the world.
Enjoy the fresh air as you walk to a cozy brewery pub near the Old Town square where you tour ends. As there are so many more beer venues to enjoy in Prague, your guide will leave you with a map of the city’s best beer halls. Enjoy!

  • Great experience. We went to places that you would normally never find without a local. Great beers. Guide was very good at explaining Czech history of beer and importance to the culture. It didn't really feel like a tour as much as it felt like a fun evening out with friends. Highly recommend.

  • Petr was fantastic. We felt we got a real perspective of Prague's local craft beer scene. Lots of knowledge along the way, would highly recommend this tour.

  • This was a great experience! Our guide Peter was just wonderful and his colleague forgot his name but he was from Minnesota was great as well. These two are a great combo for this tour as they know just about everything in regards to check beer. If there was something they did not know, they were honest and resourced the bar staff. The tapas were very filling and the dessert was quiet tasty. I can't speak on the beers as I don't drink I still had a great time!. My husband had my share and I can say that everyone in our group enjoyed the beers and the company. This tour is a GREAT value! I wouldn't hesitate to book it again!

  • What a fantastic experience! Our guide Petr was amazing! Clearly very passionate about beer and the tapas. Was really good to get off the beaten track. We visited four places and got to try five beers in total. Tapas at one place and dessert in another. Fairly substantial. Would highly recommend!

  • The tour was ok. The guide was good I just feel the value is lacking on this tour. 5 Beers a little food for 85 per person? I don't feel like I got my moneys worth. I think you can go to pubs and ask descriptions of the beers and choose it would be the same as this tour. Its nice to meet fellow travelers from around the world I just don't feel the experience justifies the steep cost.

  • It is a must to book this tour. Our guide, Martin was pretty amazing. We visited five different bars and got to taste different kinds of beers and food. I recommend specially those who are beer lovers.

  • Fun and informative night - great beer, food, people - recommend!

Had a great night with our Prague Urban Adventures guide, Lukáš Vondra. We went to 4 places and really enjoyed great food, fun, people and, of course, beer! Good to go to some places locals visit, away from the noisy, crowded tourist bars and stag-night venues. Lukáš told us a lot about local customs, the history of beer and pub snacks and etiquette. The places were all different, as were the beers and food, so quite a variety. The 'snacks' of cheese, breads, sausages, pickles etc. were substantial, so didn't need dinner, and were very tasty. The tour really highlighted food, drinks and places that tourists would be hard-pressed to find or find out about. Thanks to Tomas, too, who also joined us from Urban Adventures - having 2 guides for our small group was a real bonus!

Food/drinks we could enjoy included: raspberry beer, Matuška Raptor IPA, local cider and Beskydy Ležák Pale Lager. We also tasted topinky fried-bread and garlic spread yum!. Then there was dark coffee lager, Bílá Svině wheat beer, and marinated sausage. Followed by Chýně amber beer, Kácov ligter lager and amazing Unětice 12 lager, with marinated cheese. Finally, the famous U Pinkasů, where we drank the best-tasting fresh Pilsner Urquell and czech-style pancakes.

    What a night! Thoroughly recommend!

  • What a wonderful experience. Our hosts Peter and Travers were fun, knowledgeable and made us all feel like friends. It was such an experience to be able to discuss the tastes and smells of the different beers and the tasty tapas. Clearly and tightly they were so proud of their breweries. We really enjoyed the whole experience in a truly lovely city. And our fellow travellers were wonderful friendly and very funny. Thank you Peter.

  • Casey was an excellent tour guide and had a real passion for beer. He took us to four stops where we had plenty of Czech tapas to eat with delicious beers. We were able to choose which beers we wanted to try at a few places which was nice. All in all, a great time!

  • Martin was our guide and he was great.
