The spirit of this place is to be honored and cherished. We cannot really understand the journey of the Jews without having shared it. Seeing the generations of gravestones stacked up because they were given no more room, seeing the names of the exterminated loving embossed around the walls, seeing the artifacts of children in the camps, brings us a bit closer, makes the stories we have heard more real. Time spent in this neighborhood is not morbid; you will come away richer for the experience.

Excellent guide - I came away with a very detailed view of the Jewish Quarter and the Old Town. I went back to see the sites in more detail after the tour. Friendly and knowledgable guide.

We signed up for this tour through TripMasters. Our did not show up, and did not contact us to let us know it was canceled. After waiting at the meeting point for 10 minutes, we contacted them. They told us the guide could not make it, and we would be refunded the cost of the tour. After we returned from our vacation, we contacted TripMasters, and they said they would contact the local company, and athat we would receive a refund in 1 to 2 weeks. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks, and still no refund. We again contacted TripMasters, and they said they have not received a response from the tour company. At this point, I doubt we will receive any type of refund.

Our guide did an excellent job managing a disparate group of people on a busy afternoon. He was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Prague.

Took the Jewish History Walking Tour with Jan. I'm not Jewish, but I do work in the field of Holocaust Studies, so I have at least some passing knowledge of the religion. I would hope, though, that a Jew never goes on this tour, because Jan's lack of knowledge he referred to Jewish religious observance as their mass and outright stereotyping Jews like to stay together would be both infuriating and painful. While I know it is difficult to find a Jew to lead this tour, it should not be too much to ask that the tour guide has at least some knowledge of Judaism and Jewish practices. At the very least, the guide cannot perpetuate the very stereotypes and prejudices that laid waste to Jewish communities throughout Europe.
