Know More about this tour

Begin your Eco-Tuk tour downtown in Restauradores Square. Settle into your ride, meet your guide, then set off to explore Lisbons Old Town. This eastern area was built around the castle and grew outward from there. Old Town is a melting pot of monuments, such as the cathedral and the castle, fusing within the narrow streets of Alfama and Mouraria. The Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Mary Major, or "Lisbon cathedral," is a must-see since it is the perfect place to show the growth of the city.

Next, the tour then passes through Mouraria, the birthplace of the Portuguese music genre called "Fado." The area, with all of its multicultural aspects, was originally built to confine the Moors that survived the Portuguese occupation after the Christians conquered Lisbon in the 12th century.

Later, your tuk-tuk stops for 10 minutes at the citys highest viewpoint, Nossa Senhora do Monte. Its the perfect palce for your storyteller-guide to explain the growth of city over the centuries and how some of it survived the 1755 earthquake. You will also have the chance to taste the famous Portuguese custard cakes, pastel de nata. Then, pass by Alfama, the oldest and most typical neighborhood of the city, as you go to the Praa do Comrcio, formerly the Main entrance of the city, and one of Europes largest and most beautiful squares Your tour concludes at its original starting point.

We had a great experience with a German speaking friendly guide - she has been very knowledged and has been taken care of us!

We had two tuk tuk tours and they were both superb. Our guide Leonor was absolutely fantastic. So knowledgeable, spoke perfect English, was good fun - a truly great experience. As older people it is the best way to see the old parts of Lisbon.

Our first look at Lisbon was a Tuk-Tuk tour. Bruno drove my husband and I all around stopping to show us some great views and explained the various neighborhoods. The trip was fun and Bruno was informative. Caution: the trip is bumpy, very bumpy.

We were to meet our driver Claudio at a designated area but he called us and said he wasn't able to meet us there due to a road problem. There wasn't any problem we could see. He did show up on time at the spot we were to meet. He did ask us where we would wanted to go. If we had anything in mind.
I mentioned we just arrived and were here 2 days out of 8. I ask him to show us the town.
He did. We went around the city having him point at monuments and buildings but it was hard to understand him.
I must mention the ride was very bumpy and not for people with back issues.
There are cobblestones everywhere and these tuk- tuk carts are not made for bumpy roads.
He was taking pictures of us which I didn't like. He did bring us up to points of interests but the ride was very bumpy and it was uncomfortable. He took us to the local bookstore in town
saying it was the oldest in Lisbon and let us step out for a peek of the interior. He also stopped by a pastry shop for us to try a coned dessert. It was a warm and beautiful day to be out and about. It isn't something I would do again but.. it was adventurous on a calm day.
    I prefer a car over a cart.

On the day we chose to take the tour there was a huge 'walk for Cancer' in the square we were to meet the driver. We found our driver and walked back to the metro station which had just come from to pick up the tuk-tuk. Our driver was very friendly and pleasant but there were 6 of us in our party, two who were close to him could hear his commentary but the others could not, so the two who could hear had to relay the information to us, which spoilt the experience for us. At the two stop off points he was very informative and was very good with our two granddaughters. With technology today surely it is possible to provide headsets so everyone in the vehicle can enjoy the same experience.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide Oriana picked us up from our apartment and we headed off into the narrow streets of Lisbon in the tuk tuk. It was great fun to ride in and she told us lots of interesting facts as we went round. We were glad we had an electric tuk tuk as some of the others that passed us were so noisy I doubt you would be able to hear the guide! We saw a lot of the main sights as well as some lesser known but equally fascinating places. We especially loved the beautiful viewpoint she took us to which we would never have found by ourselves! Our family of two adults and two teenagers really enjoyed this tour, it was one of the highlights of our trip!
