Booked this trip having read other reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Our cruise ship was 3 hours late docking in Safaga but our driver Hassan was still waiting and easily identifiable. The car was spotless inside and out with good A/C. He put us at ease and delivered us safely to Karnack temple in Luxor where we met our brilliant guide Mahmoud. This guy is superb. His English is excellent, he has a vast knowledge of the area and its history and makes it so interesting. We avoided queues, there were lots of excellent photo stops and he provided small change for use of the toilets when required. Even though we were late arriving there was no rush and we still managed the full allotted times at each site by extending the day. We had a very tasty meal at a local restaurant consisting of soup, bread, beans, salad and chicken, lamb and kebabs. Luxor temple was all lit up during the evening but busy. We again avoided the queues and spent a couple of hours on site before being dropped off at The Winter Palace Hotel. It was clean, with large rooms and the staff very helpful. Mahmoud arranged for us to go on a balloon ride the next morning at 0530. We were picked up on time and soared above the Valley of the Queens for about 45 mins with 12 other balloons. It was so worth the extra cost if you get the chance you really should book this. Mahmoud and our driver collected us from the landing site and we then visited valley of the Kings going in several tombs. A visit to Hatshepsut and finally a lunch on the Nile of roast chicken, potatoes, salad and a tagine. We were the only occupants on the small boat made us feel quite special. What a brilliant day. We had pre booked our return journey to Hurghada at an extra cost Hassan then drove us the 4 hours back to the airport having helped us check that the flight etc was still on time. Gentlemen thank you

The tour was fine, guide was good, security very alert, driver very competent. As a solo I paid approximately $800. & learned a couple paid only $450. The checkout from the hotel was very upsetting. I intended to return to my room after breakfast to learn that my suitcase & bag had been removed to the lobby-my favorite earrings were missing! I cannot give this tour a good review. I overpaid because I’m a single & my favorite earrings were taken(I did not discover this until it was too late to take this up with reception).

This was a fabulous tour! Motaz was our tour guide and he was amazing! Instead of boring us with endless details, he presented the history as a story and we really enjoyed it all and we retained more information than on any other tour we have been on. Motaz was truly passionate and so knowledgable about all the areas we visited. A driver picked us up at the port of Safaga and drove us the 4 hours to Luxor to meet up with Motaz. We visited the temple of Hatshepsut, then Valley of the Kings (visiting 4 tombs) then on to lunch which was delicious (especially the Babagansh). colossi of Memnon, and then to Ramses III temple which was amazing. We headed back across the River Nile and visited Luxor temple at night before being dropped at Sonset Saint George 5star hotel for the evening. Next morning we visited Luxor by day quickly and then spent the morning in Karnak ..again just unbelievable. Motaz helped us with great memorable pictures and so much interesting history…never pressuring us for time! Our driver Hussein as fabulous as well! Would highly recommend this agency and this guide for any visit to the region.

We had a fabulous two day one night trip from the Safaga port to Luxor. Our driver was right at the port to pick us up and we had a safe and comfortable ride to the city where we met our local guide, Nermeena. Nermeena was one of the best guides we have had! She was very knowledgeable, pleasant and willing to adapt to anything we wanted to do. We toured Karnak and Luxor the first day and then were dropped off at the hotel for the evening. Nermeena gave us information about the area we were staying in for the evening so we felt confident going out in our own. The following day we toured the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s Temple and then had lunch on a boat on the Nile. After getting off the river we made the 3.5 hour journey back to Safaga. These we two very memorable days in part because of our guide and the help of Egypt Tour Portal!

Great experience in Luxor visiting all the highlights with the guide Hony Soliman. He was amazing, great egyptologist, and last but not least, a great friend who can support you for everything you need. All the activities was done with calm and he’ll leave you all the time you need to take pictures and feel the atmosphere of the place you are visiting with no worries once he’s done with all the explanations. He speaks a perfect english and i really recommend to ask for him if you are interested in these activities. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

We had a fabulous two day Luxor tour with our guide, Marian! She spoke excellent English, was knowledgeable, and explained all the history of the sights, answering all of our questions, and ensuring we all got fantastic photo memories of our trip. Egypt Tours Portal was good with providing email responses throughout the booking process and navigated last minute ship itinerary changes. The sites themselves are extremely impressive and I am so glad that we were able to visit them. The hotel was great, and security was very well done. Food and drinks provided were excellent. Marian even stopped and bought us water from her own money. The open boat ride to Banana Island in the Nile, where we feasted at an open air restaurant was memorable.

Our guide Hassan provided an excellent two-day tour of the Karnak temple, Luxor Temple at night, and the Valley of Kings. Hassan even suggested an early morning Air Balloon flight to overlook the area's antiquities. Hassan worked late into the evening due to our ship being 4 hours late. The customer service of Egypt Tours Portal is exceptional. They always promptly returned email inquiries. When we lost a cell phone we contacted Hassan and he coordinated the retrieval of the phone from a filling stations dumpster. We received the phone this week in working order and are able to enjoy the photos of our guide Hassan and the impressive sites. The overnight accommodations were five-star.
