Know More about this tour

After a 5am private pick-up from your hotel, your guide will drive you to Assi ghat, the southernmost ghat in Varanasi and a prominent bathing ghat. See pilgrims taking a holy dip in the Ganges before praying to Lord Shiva, and waiting for the sun to rise and the morning Ganga Aarti session to begin.

After the ceremony, seek blessings by visiting the series of temples scattered around Varanasi. Later, make an exciting halt at the Akhara, and watch Pehalwans (wrestlers) performing traditional Kushti (wrestling) in a mud pit.

You will now take a boat ride on the Ganges. The ride is a life cycle in itself, quite metaphorically. Begin at Assi ghat, marking the birth of life, and end at Manikarnika ghat, a cremation ghat, marking the demise of life. Manikarnika ghat is a unique experience for tourists, as bodies are cremated here in public. Sailing along the Ganges, you will learn about ghats and witness many traditions.

Disembark at Manikarnika Ghat and continue walking towards one of the most famous Hindu temples, Kashi vishwanath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Lastly, stop for a hot cup of tea before being returned to your hotel at approximately 10am.
