I was really excited when I booked my trip, ti be able find a package with the pyramids, sphinx, and Egyptian Museum. There is also shopping, but you can kindly decline (unless you want oils, cottons, trinkets, and papyrus). Note, if you also decline shopping, you will finish considerably sooner. My driver “Ahmed 1” and my guide “Ahmed 2 (E)” were very friendly and knowledgeable. The pyramids were busy, but I did not go inside (extra $). Honestly after going to KV day before I was told it wasn’t too exciting (unless you do it to say you have been inside one of the wonders of the ancient world). The hagglers were not as bad as I anticipated (honestly dealt with worse stateside), but they do exist. The sphinx is more to it even though it seems small, there is a temple attached, cool. Got some lunch that was very filling and tasty too. The Egyptian Musuem (in Tahrir Square), I lucked out and got to see Tut’s mask and coffins, which I surely thought had already moved to The GEM. I was definitely starstruck. I had an hour free time in the museum after I met up with Ahmed before we parted ways (my hotel was literally next door, so I walked back). What a pretty cool package!

Excellent tour. About 2-2.5hrs drive from Cairo. They picked us up at our hotel on time. Halfway on the road, we stopped at a test stop for snacks and coffee. Alexandria is beautiful. We went on a Sunday and after Ramadan so unfortunately the Alexandria library was closed but we still stopped by for photos outside. Our driver was Medhat. Our tour guide was Ehab and this man goes above and beyond for you. Aside from everyone we did as a part of this tour, we even stopped for some delicious ice cream and a gorgeous lunch with a view (no included). Whatever you want, Ehab will try to accommodate. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and is like a walking history book. You can ask him anything and he knows the answer. He even takes pictures for us. Ehab is the best, ask for him, you won’t regret it.

Relaxing and mild tour exploring the city of Alexandria. It is about 2.5 hours from Cairo by car so a lot the tour you will spend time driving. Traffic in Alexandria is very compact so be prepared to do most of your sightseeing by car. The sites were good and the guide was very welcoming and informed.
