Vadim directed my eyes upward to enjoy the architecture of this lovely city. It was great fun to wander into arcades that I would not have discovered on my own. His explanations also provided an understanding of how the buildings reflect the character of the Czeck people, including their history and aspirations. A private tour is so much more than wandering alone or with a group - it's a connection with a local and Vadim is absolutely charming. Don't hesitate to book!

This is an excellent tour, whether it's your first time to Prague or your tenth. Bonita showed us a side of Prague that you just aren't going to see on a typical "city tour." She's an American expat who moved to Prague many years ago and has parlayed her expertise on history and architecture into this fascinating tour. We learned so much about Prague's cultural history and were introduced to Cubism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Rococo and even Brutalism, and how these styles intertwined with the 20th-century history of Prague. Can't recommend enough.

I have been in love with Art Nouveau for the last two decades, including visiting notable Art Nouveau museums, architecture, and exhibitions in the United States, France and Japan, so when I heard about Insight Cities' Art Nouveau & Cubist Architecture: Prague after 1900 tour, I knew I needed to include it on my trip to Central Europe. Listed as one of the ten best architecture tours in the world and as one of the five best architecture tours in Europe, co-founder Bonita's extensive knowledge of turn-of-the-century politics, art movements, and architecture brought these stunning buildings to vibrant life. We spent over four hours on foot and by public transportation exploring some of Prague's most notable examples of Art Nouveau and Cubist architecture, including the House of the Black Madonna, Legiobanka, the Municipal House, the Topic building, Hotel Central and Hotel Evropa, as well as some of the gorgeous Art Nouveau villas in the suburbs of Prague. She provided examples of period newspaper articles to provide context, as well as famous works of art to illustrate the different styles and motifs. Bonita was fantastic about customizing the tour to include specific buildings I was interested in, as well as providing extensive restaurant recommendations in Prague and Vienna (I had also booked the Otto Wagner tour in Vienna through Insight Cities) and our tour was one of the highlights of my two weeks in Central Europe. Highly recommended on your next trip to Prague!!

What a great way to explore Prague and see it under a different lense. Vadim is not your average tour guide, he is an expert who presented Prague's Art Nouveau and Cubism from a historical, political and cultural point of view. It made it interesting for my sister, who is an architect, as well as for me, a veterinarian with no claims to such knowledge. He was very accommodating to my request to bring my small dog along, and we were allowed to enter all the buildings in the tour. Highly recommend!

Bonita is a fabulous guide who weaves politics, philosophy, local planning, historical nuance as reflected in the Czech Nouveau and cubism. This is more that just spotting the characteristics of Nouveau tour. Highly recommended.

Together with a couple of our friends, my husband and I went on an Art Nouveau tour with Vadim. It was the last day of our one week stay in Prague in December 2021 and it turned out to be the high point of our time in this mesmerizing city. Vadim is very knowledgeable and in three hours he not only showed us many remarkable architectural sites in the city, but connected architecture with history of the city, literature and art. Vadim has a very nice style - a poised and clear voice and he is easy to follow. Overall very good experience. I highly recommend Art Nouveau tour in Prague with Vadim

You've done with the Castle the Charles bridge the astronomical clock or the Jewish quarter ? Do yourselves a big favor and take this tour. In this thorough 3 hours tour you"ll have the chance to discover another fascinating side of Prague, a real Mecca for Art Nouveau enthusiasts. Our guide, Bonita, was so good. She literally opened our eyes to see things way beyond the ordinary touristic stuff Prague has to offer. Three hours of sheer delight.

Going on this tour with Bonita changed the way I looked at the architecture in Prague. The day after the tour I found myself recognising the history of a building by the particular details she had helped us to identify. It felt wonderful to really 'see' the city and not just experience it as a beautiful background. Really recommend.

I have been using Insight Cities as my "go to" for touring American study abroad students (I am a Site Director for a US Study abroad provider). Along with Vadim who gives Prague Introduction and Cold War tours to our groups, we often arrange Bonita's tour focused on Art Nouveau and Cubist Architecture. My students get to know some of the most exquisite Prague buildings along with storytelling that brings them to life. Like Vadim, Bonita is an engaging guide who gets a dialogue going instead of listing facts and dates. I highly recommend this company if you want a tour by folks who know their stuff and who are genuinely amazing people.

Having discussed my interests with Bonita in advance, she was able to tailor our tour to exactly what I wanted to see - the things, that, as they say, you won’t find in a guide book. Gočar’s House of the Black Madonna I would have been able to discover on my own but gems like Legio Banka and the Hotel Central - not so sure! Bonita is a lovely guide whose love for the city is apparent in how she put her heart and soul into designing my tour.
