The Private Bodrum Village Tour was phenomenal. I highly recommend to anyone interested in an authentic experience. This tour offered an opportunity to witness traditional rugmaking first hand, enjoy a Turkish meal (very tasty) and visit a local Bodrum village. The tour hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable. Well worth every penny.

The Village and the life within the Village was lovely. The people were warm and welcoming. The provided lunch was “over the top, delicious.” If you should have any reservations of learning about the intricate details inside a mosque or viewing Turkish rugs to “buy” then you should say so in the beginning of this tour. The opportunity to meet the eldest (89 years young) woman in the Village, of 400 people, who graciously opened her home to us was an unexpected BONUS.

The issue with this booking unfortunately was that we booked through Tripadvisor for a private village tour but many things were not as advertised. When we arrived it felt like no one was expecting us despite the booking and they scrambled to find us a guide. I can’t fault the people in the village as they were lovely as was the food. However the organisation from the company was poor and then our private transfer back was with another group. I would caution people if booking that many aspects of the description for a private village tour is not as advertised.

This was such an amazing and unique experience! The drive to the village was beautiful. You arrive in a completely different world. The history and techniques and patterns were so well explained and the passion for this art form is palpable. It was great to be able to experience weaving a few rows of beautiful carpet and make new friends. And the lunch was soooooo delicious. I ended up buying 2 gorgeous carpets and they shipped them home for me for free! Unforgettable experience.

Poor is the only word that will describe our experience on the village tour which we took with Onelli Tours. We were told a air conditioned bus would pick us up from our hotel, but it was a private car from the tour company. No air conditioning but he did open the windows after about eight miles. When we arrived at the farm he had to phone up somebody to greet us. When the person arrived he told us there was a wedding going on so we would have our meal now. We were shown into what I could only describe as a chichen house which we shared with three chickens. Chicken poo on the floor and the table runners were dirty, our driver shared our table with us which was great as her was able to explain what each of the dishes were and the four different breads. We were offered drinks, waters wine and beers which when we finished we were told we could not leave till we had paid for our drinks. We were then shown somebody weaving and we had the different weaves they produced explained to us. Then we were shown into the carpet warehouse where the carpets are stored. Now the hard sell started it was just like a time share but with carpets. When he realised that we were not going to buy anything we were shown outside and driven back to our hotel. We have given this tour one star and that was for lunch with the chickens. Fred & Gillian. 29/09/2019

My family and friends took a private tour with Onelli in July. Embarkment went smoothly and all people appeared comfortable. Seating with views was abundant and the scenery at three "jump off" anchored areas was breathtaking. The crew kept us well hydrated, catered to our every whim and provided for a once in a lifetime experience all the while keeping us safe and acting like the professionals they are. I highly recommend them and if I should return I will surely look in their direction for another tour.5 stars

We were guests on the boat/gulet tour to four beautiful island coves and on private bus to Ephesus tour and Mary’s house this past August as part of our son’s wedding festivities. They were two of the most interesting and well-run events we have ever been on. Safe, FUN, educational and the personnel including Metin and Sumru could not have been more hospitable, efficient and friendly. They were two more in a long list of events of a lifetime on this trip. Also our Ephesus tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating.
