Do note that in this package, guide isnt included so you would need to request for a guide. But anw, we did request for a guide. First of all, the process of the booking was made really smooth with Imperial Egypt. Hany was really good and made the whole booking experience, coordination and everything very smooth and easy for me. Honestly, this is one of the trips that i felt most assured and most relaxed in terms of arrangement cos Hany really did a great job. Now to the driver and guide. I couldnt really remember our driver's name but hes really awesome ( I mean it). My parents wanted to get lunch and we wanted Shawarma... due to the lack of time, our driver actually went down to order and collect the shawarma for us from the shop while we were walking the temple such that when we finished walking Luxor temple, the shawarma was waiting in the car already. And he drove slowly on the way from Luxor to Karnak temple ( only 2.7km away) so that we can eat slowly and not feel stressed while eating . Really thoughtful and honestly, im really very impressed. Our guide was Mohamed Abdo, who was really quite knowledgeable and brought the temple and its stories to life. He has a notepad to draw and show us what exactly he was talking about, so that we have a clearer idea of the story. Well, like what my parents said, had we not asked Mohamed to be our tour guide, we would just walk in and exit within minutes not knowing much. But it is because of Mohamed's explanantions, everything camw to life and was impressive. Great effort!

Our tour with Mido was excellent, he is the most fun tour guide we could have asked for - and he'll give you the best local recommendations for Luxor. Definitely ask for him when booking your tour! Props to the driver as well, we've had a great full day tour with both of them :)

Our guide Mostafa was a really nice and cool guy who had extensive knowledge about Ancient Egypt as a whole as well as all of the fascinating places we visited on our tour. He is a very flexible and allows you to spend as much time as you would like in each place. Also, the driver was very kind and you are taken around in a clean and air conditioned private vehicle.

The only reason I'm giving this tour 2 stars (and not 1) is because the sights are simply stunning, so it would be unfair to Egypt to label this experience as 'terrible'. Unfortunately, from here on, things only go downhill. My tour guide Laila (maybe I'm slightly misspelling her name) was, not even 5 minutes after I joined her and the driver, trying to sell me other tours and insisting I buy souvenirs/products from people she knew. First, she tried to sell me a tour to Alexandria for the exorbitant price of $230 (USD). After I complained about the price (I had already done my research and the most expensive Alexandria private tour I found -from Cairo- was $100), she makes a call and suddenly the Alexandria tour is now $160... what a 'great deal', right? Then there's the Saqqara/Memphis tour. First she offered it to me at $100. However, a call or two later, the tour was now $60 with entrance fees to the sites and lunch NOT included. I ultimately booked another operator and paid $55 for the same tour with entrance fees AND lunch included! See where I'm going with this? Later on, at lunchtime, a new 'attraction' not on the tour schedule appeared: a boat ride, from one side of the river to the other, for $30. I fell into the trap and paid for it. I realized too late I had been scammed. I felt terrible. And all of this time, between one site to the next and while on the boat, she would insist (time and again, overwhelmingly) for me to book the Alexandria and Saqqara/Memphis tours. She would always say she was just 'trying to help'. I was in such disbelief by what was going on that I had no option other than to call her out and ask her to stop asking me to book any other tour of hers. She then got all shaky and begged me not to tell her boss or anyone about anything. Clearly, she didn't want her fraudulent scheme to be exposed. As you can see, it didn't work. I could type hundreds, if not thousands more characters to expand on my uncomfortable experience, but I think by now you've got the idea. Bottom line is, while it seems there are honest and professional tour guides at ImperialEgypt (as you can see from the reviews), you may still be unlucky enough to get one that makes a living out of cheating and lying. My suggestion is to take note of those tour guides' names with glowing reviews and make sure or even request you're with one of them. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy Egypt!

Guida simpatica e disponibile ma un po' troppo sintetica poco approfondita la spiegazione va bene per visita veloce di tutte le cose stupende di luxor

This activity its simply the best way to get around Luxor, with a very knowledgeable guide (Amr) ! Its an easy way to see the best of Luxor in a day! Not only we got to see some amazing views but we learnt a bit history which makes the trip more fun and understandable :) Im more than satisfied with it and it’s a must do if youre visiting Egypt, it’s not all about the pyramids ;)

Ask for Hedy— he was an awesome tour guide who facilitated our whole day. Hedy’s knowledge and enthusiasm for Egyptian history and the local sights was impressive. The lunch was very nice with a great view of the Nile. Hedy was attentive to our needs in the heat of the day and our need for water and he even surprised us with opportunity for some ice cream. The relatively new AC van was very comfortable and the driver was careful and professional. We had a great and memorable day. Remember to ask for Hedy for your Luxor tour. Thanks for a great time.

He was very patient and knowledgeable about the history of ancient Egypt. We visited the temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the King, and the Karnak Temple in a private AC van. As a female solo traveler, Mostafa made an effort to make my experience as smoothly as possible. When I encountered problematic security guard at the Valley of the King, he was so kind to help me out without an expectation of money return. If you are a fan of unique and unparalleled souvenirs, be sure to visit the high end gift shops where they sell handcrafted stone statues and handmade papyrus painting. Completley worth the slightly expensive price. Highly recommended Mostafa as the tour guide to anyone who travels to Luxor!
