Traveler Reviews
-
We enjoyed ourselves very much. Our driver was very kind and after we visit Mahabalipuram he took us to a seafood restaurant near the beach where we enjoyed fresh and very good fish and shrimps.
-
the tour is perfect a day trip to Mahabalipuram, its well planned and just the right duration. the driver was polite and helpful, although he was not an official guide, but he was knowledgeable and helped me understand the history of each site.
-
Our driver was extremely helpful and sincere in showing us the site and went to great lengths to ensure the visit went as smoothly as possible. Hard to find this level of customer service and honesty in a place like India— and Uvamai was a real good find.
-
Our driver was pleasant and courteous and took us to the various parts of Mahabalipuram and the crocodile sanctuary. He also lent me his umbrella because it was so sunny outside. You have the option to hire an outside guide once you are there but I am not sure that I would recommend it.
-
A driver was friendly, his English was fine. However, this private day tour did not include a guide, and you have to pay extra!
-
The driver was fine, but he insisted on rushing me at Dakshina Chittra due to his worries about my getting heat stroke. Then the Crocodile Park was closed on Mondays, but apparently Viatour did not know this. Then there was a mix up with the government tour guides at Mahabalipuram, and they wanted me to share, but we both said no and it was resolved. The Government tour guide was ok but mediocre. I could have just read the signs. He had no additional information.
We got back early as we only did 2 of the 3 items. -
The driver was very nice but didn't come into the hotel lobby to get us until I had the hotel call Viator to check in where he was.
The guide was a very nice man but not easy to understand....therefore we could not get the most out of the places we visited. -
Took this Mahabalipuram tour during a short stay in Chennai, and found it to be a great excursion! Private transfer in a very clean and air conditioned vehicle, with hotel pick-up and drop-off, and private tour guide on site. Driver was great, and very cordial, and tour guide was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed visiting the temples and also witnessing the people in worship. Was even blessed by a Hindu priest! The tour company was Uvamai Niche Tourism booked through Viator. I like the convenience of booking through Viator. Thanks!
