The Qutub Minar, also spelled as Qutab Minar, or Qutb Minar, is the tallest minaret in the world made up of bricks. The minaret forms a part of the Qutab complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. Qutub Minar is a 73-metre tall tapering tower of five storeys, with a 14.3 metres base diameter, reducing to 2.7 metres at the top of the peak. It contains a spiral staircase of 379 steps. Its design is thought to have been based on the Minaret of Jam, in western Afghanistan.
Safdarjungs Tomb is a tomb dedicated to Safdar Jang, a ruler of Awadh in medieval India. This tomb is located near the Safdarjung Airport at the intersection of Lodhi Road and Aurobindo Marg in New Delhi, the National Capital. This tomb was constructed by Shuja-ud-Daula in the Mughal Style of Architecture after his father’s death in 1754.

With Asif as my guide, and also a very polite driver, I had an amazing experience on the Evening Tour of Delhi. Asif was very knowledgeable and made all of the stops super engaging, answering all my questions about history and architecture along the way. This is a really fun tour and not to be missed. I wouldn’t hesitate to take another tour with Asif.
