I was on vacation with my family for a week in Egypt I spent the first 3 days in Sharm AlSheik then I travelled to Cairo. I wanted to experience the history part in Cairo so booked The Egyptian museum and old Cairo tour with Nefertiti Tours. The bus came at 8 am to pick us up from the hotel, and then we went to Salah AlDin citadel. It was located on top of a hill and the view from there was amazing you can see Cairo from the top, the tour guide was very friendly and informative, he told us about the story of Salah AlDin and the reason behind building this citadel. After that we visited Alabaster mosque, which was very close to the citadel. The mosque has amazing Islamic art on the walls, then we went to see the the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra synagogue in the same area, after that we headed to Khan AlKhalily, the tour guide took us to the oldest bazaar in Cairo where the souvenirs shops are. We did some shopping then we had Egyptian tea with mint in one of the oldest coffee shops in Egypt. Then out last stop was the Egyptian Museum where we saw ancient statues, artifacts and rare items. The tour was incredible; the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to try the real taste of Cairo and explore the history.
