  • Nice place, but I did prefer other spas. This one was alright, but not more than that.

  • The bath is an interesting and enjoyable experience. However, be aware that there are no in-and-out privileges and that massage times are inflexible. Also, prices for food and beverages are quite high within the spa. We enjoyed our soak and the massages were short but good. Note that the downtown area is rife with Thai massage parlors at much lower prices.

  • Go here only if you want to complete your personal Budapest Go-To list. Access was easy enough. The thermal spas seemed a bit grungy, and one has to be Okay with a very open public setting. As a first time user, it was a bit difficult figuring ones way around to the different pools, but the staff was pleasant and provided directions when asked. One had to rent towels, it would have been better if towels were included in the price. The massage was good.

  • I upgraded to the Royal massage, paid the extra fee and got an updated ticket. Then they said there was a glitch in the system and the upgrade didn't go through. But that I could just ask for a deeper massage. When I asked, they kept repeating gentle. Skip the massage, go for everything else.

  • Lovely spa in old Budapest building . The 4 of us had the massage 3 were great 1 wasn't as it was very soft mild
Pools outside great and ticket entrance easy

  • It was an excellent way to soak our tired legs before heading home.

  • This is a really good spa in a town of spas. It was perfect the day I went as it was over 30 degrees and the outside pools were really great. They set off a wave machine every hour which is a proper one and the rest of the time the pool is great to swim in. The indoor pools are really relaxing and hot!
The bracelet system is a bit confusing as once you've reached the changing rooms you have to put the bracelet on the machine on the wall and it will tell you which changing cabin is yours. No one tells you this. If you haven't booked a cabin then its not a problem. Also you need a swim hat for the indoor swimming pool only. You can buy good ones at the spa for about 2 euros. If you don't want to use the indoor swimming pool and just the outside swimming pool and indoor hot pools then you don't need a hat.

  • The baths were lovely, but the attendant by the cabins was rude and unhelpful. Although i'd paid for a private cabin I was directed upstairs to a communal locker area. After wandering around and asking fellow visitors directions I went back downstairs and was allocated the cabin. By this point my husband and sons had already got changed and used the lockers so they did not get the benefit of the private cabins. This was a shame as one unhelpful employee spoilt our visit

  • Well worth the experience. Unlike other Spa's in Budapest, the thermal pools are mostly in doors. We had the optional massage. Skip this option and the premium pricing. While there you can book your own and a cheaper price. The massage was a bit disappointing given the cost. Overall, however, Gellert Spa is a Must See in Budapest!

  • Beautiful opulent building, shower room and changing rooms need a facelift and major investment to be on the same luxury level. Make sure you bring swim cap, flip flops, towels and an inexpensive bag to carry things around. Getting there before 10 am would be my recommendation. The bath was filled up by 11:00 with so many people and no lounge chairs available that it was no longer enjoyable any more for me. It is also not that big that you can spend more than 2-3 hours. I had a massage of 50 min w a male therapist which was excellent. I wish I had booked a longer session to include foot and face massage. You can change the massage type upon arrival and pay the difference.
