We had a great time walking in the Muslim Quarter of Xian. Dodo, our guide, met us promptly at the Bell Tower Hotel and then took us on an amazing journey into Xian culture. She took us to 4 different outlets. Loved the food!

Our guide was Dodo, and she was very informative about the food and the area! She helped us book a dumpling banquet for the next evening, which was really kind of her. The restaurants we went to we would never have gone in of our own accord, but we are really happy we went into them with Dodo as the food was delicious! The beef soup with pancake was really lovely, the beef was so soft! A really informative and great tour with a really lovely guide!

Tilla provided a wonderful 3 hour experience filled with lots of information about Chinese life as well as the history and current aspects of the food on the tour. She guided us to stalls that had unique products such as “ black sugar”, goats feet, and persimmon cakes with walnut filling. The night tour is recommended because of the increased crowd, cacophony as vehicles navigate, and the beautiful lights.

Fabulous evening, we were picked up out our hotel. Tilla was very knowledgeable of food history and Xi’an history. Took us to the best spots!

Dodo is an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun and ate delicious food!! The lamb stew was amazing.
-
We took the street food tour with Dodo. She is an excellent guide. She took us to places and showed us foods off the beaten track that we would never have found on our own. It was delicious.

I would have never guessed that such a vibrant ethnic market existed in Xian, much less have had the ability to explore it successfully without the help of our local guide. She was able to take us through a plethora of back alleys and introduce us to the most local food one could ask for on holiday.

Me and my wife took the tour guided by Dodo, walking around the Muslim Quarter on foot stopping by small restaurants and stalls frequented by locals. The main street Beiyuan Men is mostly geared for tourists, but Dodo took us along side streets to sample what the locals eat. The weather was wonderful (in the evening) and the walk was slow and easy. Being a Xian local, it was also interesting to listen to her explanation on local cultures and history.

Dodo was an excellent guide and host on the Muslim street walking tour, very knowledgeable and the food was amazing! Highly recommend if you are in Xi’an!
