Know More about this tour

Get on board on a typical Venetian motorboat named "topetta" and start discovering the lagoon of Venice.

Departing from the Venice city center, enjoy a ride through picturesque canals and the lagoon, and visit the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello.

Murano is famous since the XII Century for artistic glass production. If you wish you can visit a glass factory and watch an expert glass master in action. The island is also rendered for San Donato Cathedral, San Pietro Church, the Glass Museum and a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Burano is a fisherman island with nice local seafood restaurants and colored houses. Some lace laboratories are still open and do not miss to taste the delicious "Bussola", the typical biscuit of the lagoon.

Torcello is the island where the first inhabitants of Venice have settled, and you can see the first Basilica of the city.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with the very best tour guide, Francesca. She picked us up at our hotel and walked us to the waiting boat, which was gorgeous and comfortable for me as I have some mobility issues. While walking , Francesca pointed out things of interest along the way. The trip on the boat across the lagoon was breathtaking and the stops at the islands were at our pace and our pace alone. We never felt rushed at any time. Francesca made great suggestions and even helped us find an item in a local grocery store that our grandson wanted us to bring home for him. Having a private tour made the day very special and we do not hesitate to recommend this way of visiting the islands. All is all, a perfect day on a perfect boat, with the perfect guide.

Selina, our guide, was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The boat and captain were both top notch. We opted to Torcello, so they "buzzed" the island and told us about it. Very interesting. The displays at both Murano and Burano were great. Loved the Murano glass manufacturing especially.

This was a wonderful day trip if you are looking to explore Murano and Burano with a private guide and private boat!

  • 02-Oct-2019

We missed Murano on our first trip to Venice, and so this time with our kids I wanted to make sure it was memorable. Marco's boat was beautiful, and our guide Selina made the day interesting and enjoyable. The tour of the glass making was a highlight! Several original glass artworks will be shipped home as a result. Well worth the money to do a private tour at our own pace.
