Know More about this tour

This is the only volcanic cone tuff quarry existing on the island. This material allowed the construction of the moai on a larger scale. Rano Raraku houses the quarry where the moai were built and from where they were moved to the ahu (ceremonial platforms) in the island.
Located opposite to Rano Raraku this is the largest platform from all of the reconstructed on the island. The ahu Tongariki is the most imposing moai platform in the island. This altar has fifteen visible standing statues overlooking the island with their backs to the Pacific Ocean.
This beach is characterized by warm turquoise waters and coral sand. It is the main beach of the island and used to be the ancestral residence of the Miru Araki royal family. The ahu Nau Nau is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished Ahu of the island because of the refinement of its moai.
Located in the southwest side of the island the crater of this volcano is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Rapa Nui. With 1.5 Km large this crater is the biggest reserve of endemic flora of Rapa Nui and it lake served as an important source of drinking water
O'rongo village is located on one side of the Rano Kau volcano crater. Its spectacular scenic location, its archaeological and historic relevance, the diversity and complexity of the site, make Orongo village one of the most important attractions of the island. It's one of the two main sites on the island as in this place was celebrated the Birdman ceremony. It also has a visitor reception center with a permanent interpretive exhibition.
One of the very few ceremonial platforms not located by the sea. Its seven moais have been restored to their standing position by the archaeologists William Mulloy and Gonzalo Figueroa along with the Rapa Nui community. These moai have the particularity of having astronomical positioning guidance and look towards the setting sun.

We had a great experience on this tour seeing all the key Moay and ahu sights. We were met in the morning by a driver and our personal tour guide, Christina. Christina was great. She’s from Rapa Nui herself and is exceptionally knowledgeable having evidently spent a long time studying the history of the island and having deep routes here. She took the time to explain, the history, background, and possible theories for what might have been going on on the island hundreds and thousands of years ago. We couldn’t recommend her enough! It was certainly money well spent on this tour given the depth and breadth of knowledge which was shared with us.

The tour was great! Sebastian was a very knowledgeable guide who answered all our questions and took some great pictures of us. We had a great time learning about the history of the island and seeing the different sites. Would definitely recommend!

Wow - what an amazing day. We were so blessed to have Hugo as our guide of Rapa Nui (Easter Island)! Hugo is native to the island and his great grandmother is the oldest living Elder on Rapa Nui today. The wealth of his knowledge is as deep and wide as the ocean that surrounds this incredibly magical place. It’s always been a dream to visit Rapa Nui and see the Moai in the flesh but nothing can prepare you for the experience of that dream coming true as the magnificent Moai tower over you and you stand before the statues that you’ve seen in books since childhood finally sharing the same physical time-space! Hugo knows his island home like the back of his hand and he enjoys to share his knowledge with an attentive ear. It was truly a privilege to spend the day with him soaking up the stories like a sponge. If you’re genuinely interested in the history and you want to learn from the source then book Hugo as your guide, we highly recommend him. My heart is full as I write this on the eve of our day with him - many thanks Hugo! Marisa & Ben from Australia

The Tour Guide, Hugo, was an amazing guide! He was very courteous, professional, friendly, & knowledgeable! It was a private tour & I felt totally safe being a solo female. He seemed to really enjoy his profession & answered my many questions about the national park, culture, history, etc... On topics that there were no known facts, he gave possible theories. At one site, the Park Rangers wouldn't allow us in because the wind level was too high. Hugo offered to possibly have someone else bring me back to that site the next day at no extra charge. I thought that was definitely going above & beyond. It showed his true dedication to his profession & the passion for wanting to share his island's history with others.
