Enjoy breakfast before greeting your guide at your Cappadocia hotel at a time of your choosing. The day begins with a short drive in climate-controlled comfort to the Devrent Valley, where your guide explains the layered geology of ash and lava rock that shaped this lunar landscape. Next, it's a short drive to Pasabag Valley, home to some of Cappadocia's most striking 'fairy chimney' structures, many shaped like mushrooms, as well as the rocky church of the hermit St. Simeon.

From here, continue to the cave town of Cavusin, abandoned last century. Discover historic rock carvings and eerie disused homes before heading to Avanos, where terracotta has been made for thousands of years. Here, you have the chance to make your own pottery, with help from friendly local craftsmen.

Break for an authentic Turkish feast, served buffet style in a traditional cave settings, before you head to the famous Goreme Open Air Museum, home to glorious Byzantine-era cave churches replete with wonderful frescoes. Take the time to enjoy the stunnning views over Goreme Valley and opt to explore the Dark Church.
