  • Great tour - highly recommended!!!

  • What a fabulous day with Andre as our guide! We knew we were 'supposed' to go to Sintra and the palaces and maybe see the coast, but had no idea where to start. No worries, Andre knew exactly what to do and where to take us. We initially thought we would rent a car and head to Sintra ourselves, but that would have been a HUGE mistake! Andre navigated the winding roads and got us to the Pena Palace right before opening so we could enjoy the palace and gardens before they became crowded. Next he took us to the small town to walk around and enjoy Sintra Pillows delicious and Ginja. We continued our tour to another palace Quinta da Regaleira and again, Andre knew where to drop us off so we didn't have to deal with the crazy driving and parking. Our day only got better as he drove us down the Atlantic coast to an amazing restaurant, Restaurante Piscina Azenhas do Mar, with incredible views and delicious, fresh seafood dishes. We drove further to the western most point of Europe in Cabo da Roca and enjoyed the cliffs bordering the Atlantic. On our way back to Lisbon, we stopped for a short preview of Cascais just to tease us into coming back! Andre provided the right amount of historical, cultural and even his own personal stories about Portugal and the region. It was a terrific outing and we would HIGHLY recommend it.
