No less impressive is our route passing beside the blue Aegean sea and through the olive fields and orchards of the green & rugged Peloponnese landscape. Know More about this tour

After pickup at your hotel, cruise ship or Airport by your private & informative tour driver, sit back & relax in one of our new Black Mercedes E Class, AudiA6 or Mercedes Minibus models with full leather & WiFi as you set off to enjoy the drive through olive groves & orchards of the rugged Peloponnese countryside before arriving at Ancient Olympia before lunchtime.

Founded in the 8th century B.C. and famous as for its Olympic games of antiquity you can take your time to explore its extensive ruins which include the places where the original athletes were taught & trained, and go through the tunnel to emerge in the stadium in which they competed. The site is still home to the Temple of Zeus and Hera where the Olympic Flame is lit, workshop of Phidias, in its modern museum displays significant masterpieces from the site.

On this private and flexible tour exclusive to your group alone, your considerate & experienced English-speaking tour driver will provide much information along the way to help you make the most of your journey. Due to the size of the site & its long history we recommend the option of a licensed archeological guide which can be added on request & will then be waiting for you on your arrival to accompany you into the site (additional cost).

On this tour, you get to see the birthplace of the ancient Olympics, including the Olympic stadium. You actually get to walk out into the stadium and even run where the ancient Olympic athletes once competed. You can also see the ruins of the gymnasium, where the athletes trained. In the museum, you get to see the pediments of the Temple of Zeus. You can see pictures in books, but there is really nothing like seeing these things in person. My tip for travelers is: dont miss this experience!

A very fascinating experience. Long commute from Athens, so may be best to combine it on a multiday option. I would recommend a personal guide as well, which costs extra 90-100 euro, but well worth it. Otherwise it would be impossible to fully appreciate many aspects of the site
