The tour begins by picking you up from your hotel early in the morning(from 04:30 to 06:30 am approx) depending on the train option you like (Expedition / Voyager or Vistadome) and the train availability (from may to September we can not ensure the option you choose, but will be the most convenient for you) , from Cusco City you will go to the train station of Ollantaytambo for an hour and a half by a private car.
From this traditional town, we take the train to “Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu Town” during 1 hour and 45 minutes, enjoying the most amazing views during the trip.
Once we reach the train station, a representative of KANTU PERU TOURS, will wait for us, and take us to the bus station, where we will travel for half an hour more, towards the main entrance to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Once you arrive, our guide will wait for you at the bus station to start our private guided tour for 2:30 hours approx, visiting the most important places within the Inca city, then you will have free extra minutes to explore Machu Picchu on your own (following the circuit to the exit), after leaving Machu Picchu Inca Site you will have to take the bus back to “Aguas Calientes Town” by your own and then to go to our restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious lunch(appetizer and main course), finishing enjoying the best of the Peruvian food you will take by your own the train back to the station of Ollantaytambo or Poroy (according to the train availability), after travelling 1:45 hrs to Ollantaytambo or 3:30 hrs to Poroy, a representative of KANTU PERU TOURS will take us back to the imperial city of Cusco, Arriving at night (from 5:30 to 9:30 pm) to our respective hotel.NOTE: Cusco pick-up times may change without prior notice, depending on the availability of trains and entrance tickets to Machupicchu, where Kantu Peru Tours chooses the ones that best adapt to the availability in order to provide the same experience and amount of hours in Machupicchu without hurry. The experience was incredible. The transportation was very relaxing as we had a private tour . The driver was extremely nice and attentive . Highly recommend this tour! Everyone was extremely nice, on time AND we felt really cared for the entire day. We chose the 8 am pickup time for context.There were a lot of small touches that really made the whole day seamless like our itinerary, and tickets for the moving pieces — everything was well thought out and incredibly convenient. Our driver who picked us up and dropped us off was so kind and a safe driver. Lunch was delicious - we got a main and dessert and the restaurant was stellar. Our tour guide, Karol, was spectacular. Extremely passionate, knowledgeable and engaging our entire tour throughout Machu Picchu. We learned so much from him! It was also just a really special experience to not have a big group and go at our own pace throughout the site. I cannot thank the Kantu Peru tours team enough. This was a fantastic day and so well organised! Miguel met us promptly at 08:00 outside our hotel, was caring and considerate of our needs. The train and bus transfers were smooth, service and understanding of language differences were well managed - we honestly felt cared for like we were the only people on the tour. A special thank you for Harold who went ABOVE and BEYOND for us as a tour guide and took us through the site at Machu Pichu with many spots to stop, take photos, discuss the history and culture and to even stop and have a snack! Harold answered all of our questions and helped us feel like we got to know so much more - thank you for making it feel like a friend was taking us through.

We had a wonderful day at Machu Picchu. The organization and communication was perfect. Our tour guide, Julio, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the area thoroughly and was great with our numerous questions. His info helped put the history into context for us. Julio was also a wonderful photographer. We got a lot more pictures (and really nice pictures) than we otherwise would have. It was also nice having the lunch restaurant already selected (and paid), so we didn't have to figure out where to eat when we got back to Aguas Calientes. The food was very good. It was a great tour!

Everything has gone great for us. The agency was always very communicative about all my doubts, they gave us all the details of everything that was going to happen before starting the tours. The guide that accompanied us knew very well all the history of the archaeological sites and on top of that he took very good photos of us. We had a small problem with the train due to the rain, but the agency handled everything very professionally and left us calm and assured that our tour was guaranteed. We had a wonderful day with the team and it was all planned so very good. From the pickup in the morning until we were brought back to the hotel. The communication via WhatsApp worked great and with fast reaction. The car we where picked up with was new and the driver was very friendly and drove very safe.
