The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in central Luxor or harbor by an air-conditioned vehicle for a full guided trip of about 4 hours. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. There you visit four royal tombs, including the Tomb of Ramses, the Tomb of Horemheb, the Tomb of Merenptah .Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor.
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .
Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (450 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings
Temple of Merenptah, West Bank of Luxor
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II)
Tomb of King Ramesses lx was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince . The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Incredible experience, our guide, Khalid, had a masters in Egyptology and his knowledge was incredible. We are a mother and daughter - Khalid was so personable and respectful. Valley of the kings was breathtaking, a must do experience. The tombs were so beautifully decorated.

Our tour guide was called Khalid. Firstly I’d like to say we bought our tour on but due to health reasons had to delay our tour by one day and even though the time of 24 hours had past, Khalid was amazing and understanding that he allowed us to change our tour for the day after. He met us the day after in our lobby and our tour finally started. We arrived at our first stop after a 40 minute guided ride in an air con minibus, the temple of Hatshepsut. Our guide explained the history and importance of such a temple while guiding us through ticket barriers and finally to the temple, he took many photos of my wife and I which we really appreciate. Our second stop was to the valley of the kinds where we viewed the 3 tombs that come with the actual ticket fee and of course King Tut’s tomb. I highly recommend starting early before the mass tour guides from Hurghada arrive which is usually about 1pm onwards due to their late arrival but bus as it takes them 5 hours or more so I highly recommend getting this tour as early as possible to miss the mass queues and heaving crowds. Again, our tour guide showed us all our tomb entrances while helping us with vast amounts of knowledge. Our last stop was to Carter’s house which I highly recommend if you like going back in time and viewing old houses. This house is largely intact with all the furnishings inside, complete with dining table, beds, kitchen, dark room and vast amounts of paintings painted by Howard Carter himself. I highly recommend you going to this house to get a feeling what it was like to live there, just imagine being Howard Carter in this house, looking out of the windows to what would have been a very different view. I highly recommend Khalid as your tour guide as he made our trip memorable and that is what we wanted

Great experience! Our tour guide Khalid picked us up from the airport and took us the the Valley of the Kings. We then personalized the trip by adding Luxor Temple, amazing sites. Khalid was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always conscious of the time to drop us off back at the airport for our return to Cairo in the afternoon. I fully recommend this company and my friend Khalid!

I highly recommend booking a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings with Hamdy Had. My recent experience with Hamdy Had was nothing short of amazing, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this unforgettable journey. From the very beginning, Hamdy had a warm and welcoming demeanor. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the Valley of the Kings, and he shared fascinating stories and insights throughout the tour. His passion for Egyptology was palpable, and it made the experience all the more special. The tour itself was incredibly well-organized, and we were able to see all of the major highlights of the Valley of the Kings. Hamdy was able to provide detailed explanations of the various tombs and artifacts, and he was happy to answer any questions that we had. He also made sure that we had ample time to explore each site and take plenty of photos. One of the highlights of the tour was our visit to the tomb of Tutankhamun. Hamdy's knowledge about the tomb and its history was truly impressive, and he was able to provide us with insights that we would never have discovered on our own. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

Good, flexible tour with a great guide who helps you skip past the large groups. You have the opportunity to do as many tombs as you’d like or see additional sites as requested, so overall worth the money! They’ll also pick you up from the airport if that’s what you’re looking for.
