There are 2 options for this half day tour either morning (7.30am) or afternoon (2.30pm)

Depart for a local villages and enjoy the sights and sounds of the area (site of new movie by Angelina Jolie), along the way discovering seasonal farming methods and other daily activities of local people.

Walk through rural communities, meet local families, learn palm leaf weaving, rice planting or rice harvesting depend on the season. You will also lead by the host to see duck farm, crocodile farm and so on. End your day by visit silk farm,Visit the Silk Farm and follow each step of the silk process, from growing the mulberry trees to providing the essential ingredients to grow and feed silkworms. There are craftswomen at work allowing you to observe how silk is processed traditionally.

    The tour started quite early in the morning and the journey by private minibus, with aircon, was interesting as we were able to see Siem Reap from a different perspective. The road off the highway out to the floating village was undergoing construction so this part was a bit hair-raising. Once at the boat the journey onto Tonle Sap was very interesting. The lake is enormous! On the way back we were able to visit a village and talk to some children who were doing an English language school. This was very poor and the villagers were living in poverty but the children understood the need for education and had future aspirations. A very interesting and thought provoking morning which was made all the better by our very good guide.
